Someone brought up that many of the artists exhibit the medieval art style very well, and maybe I'm being excessive but I've just gotta say- as a plot point, I love that so much. Also, big shoutout to Fangorn aka Chris Baker.

In honor of Netflix buying the rights to Brian Jacques’ Redwall series, here is some of the chapter title art from my all-time favorite Redwall book:

Taggerung

This is from last year, so the commentary on the show may be outdated, but I really wanted to share the artwork showcase! They really struck me.

Apparently, Taggerung was illustrated by Peter Standley. I wanted to learn more, so I found the list of Redwall's illustrators (borrowed from the Wikipedia):

Sean Rubin has always been my favorite- I really enjoyed reading The Rogue Crew and I've always thought his drawings were just so gorgeous (and emotional, they make me emotional).

Idea: mouse princess but she’s not Laterose she’s a real fancy princess from a real kingdom across the land

I love her already

Still baffled and proud that I can just whip up a sketch like this so quickly and it looks so much like what I wanted it to look like. That intensive and mouse studies are really still paying off.
