Transphobia annoyance

So if you’re a transphobe, ignore this. Keep scrolling, because I don’t wanna deal with your angry comments.

That said. I have a friend. A really good friend, let’s call him Starz. He’s trans. And while I sometimes am a little confused by the whole idea of trans people- I support him, because I know what he went through. And he’s one of my bestest friends.

So nothing ticks me off more when my mother refers to him as ‘she’ and ‘her’. I’ve told my mother Starz is a femboy- it’s a joke we have. And she’s said stuff like ‘well, then he still wants to be a she.’

Like… maybe. And Starz has told me issues he has with his own terrible mom. But he went through a ton of shit, and he transitioned to deal with it. He’s also pansexual. And I wholeheartedly support him, even if sometimes it doesn’t make sense.

So I guess what doesn’t make sense is why people can’t just acknowledge that people cope with traumatic things in different ways, and leave it alone.
