urie is always too nervous to actually initiate anything or to show his hidden affection he feels towards touka, but touka can read him like a open book. She doesn’t mind of course and if anything, it opens way more opportunities for her to make him all embarrassed and flustered. It finally pays off when he eventually comes out of his shell, proving that there is indeed a quite an intimate romantic side to him.

Despite all of urie’s impressive amount of muscles, touka is still the one who ends up pinning him down (take that as you will…)

He impressed her the most when he offered to do some latte art for her, only for him to draw a god damn flawless portrait of her onto it. To say she was flattered would be an understatement. She tried to do the same, but well…let’s just say it would be better if she sticks to rabbits.

Touka’s favourite feature of urie’s are definitely his chocolate chips under his eye. (saiko also shared some stories on how she decided to add some more, touka definitely following her example afterwards). Though to be honest, urie has also grown to admire that mole on touka’s *ahem* chest.

They connect a lot through the loss of their fathers, understanding each others loss and finding themselves in each other. After hours of just talking about it and telling their own stories with them, they finally took the step from friends to something more…

We saw this back in Cochlea; Kaneki ripped to literal pieces, only left as a torso

Back then, he’d almost given up, thinking he had done enough for the others to escape

But hearing the crash from the compactor, knowing that all his friends were still in danger, gave him pause, and having Hide tell him he wanted to live on together all gave him his will to fight again

This time we see he’s once again a limbless torso

but there’s a huge difference in his demeanor. Instead of “It’s over huh?” 

Literally dragging himself across the floor with his chin, still not ready to give up

Furuta makes a note of telling Kaneki he blocked the exit, almost goading him

so Kaneki knows Touka, Hinami and the children down there are going to be slaughtered. Surely there’s no way this Kaneki, after finding his reason to live, will be giving up this easy? Luckily Furuta left him with a few tasty snacks
