repeat after me:
even if i don’t like my body today i will take care of it
even if i don’t like myself today i will still be patient and kind with myself
even if i do not love myself i will still take care of and be kind to myself, despite not wanting to

“we all know why” just say it’s because they’re white. say it out loud with your whole entire chest. trump supporters aren’t being stopped from storming government buildings because THEY! ARE! ALL! WHITE! that’s it. just say it.
Also: don’t stigmatize HIV+ individuals because they all have different circumstances and might’ve gotten the virus from a variety of sources (sex, occupational, birth, blood transfusions in other countries).
HIV-related stigma remains a huge barrier to preventing HIV, and is linked to a low level of people testing for HIV.
The bad news is that Trump is cutting America’s spending on HIV year after year. He has taken steps to weaken the Affordable Care Act since coming to power.
Art forgery is the best crime tbh. It requires absolutely incredible artistic talent, technical skill, and attention to detail to make convincing fakes. Does anyone get hurt from it? No! The only people who suffer for it are the extremely wealthy who want the prestige of having original paintings in their own homes. It’s full of international intrigue and mystery. Perfect.
I have a genuine question. I just read your racism comic reblog thingy. I’m white, and I’m super scared to be racist. Not because I say things that are wrong or have certain believes, but because I genuinely don’t know what’s considered racist and what isn’t. Ie: I understand that when the black woman had to “tone down” her hair (whatever that is…), that that’s racist. However, I’ve been in a similar situation as the one talking about Latina women being paid the least. My classmates and I had to do a research paper on how certain teaching methods work, and for which students they might work. There was this girl who said that it wouldn’t work for most black students, and that we should include that. She didn’t explain why, and the students’ skin colours really weren’t relevant to the paper, since everyone’s brain works a certain way regardless. No one said anything, and we didn’t end up including it. The comic reminded me of this, and now I’m wondering, would it have been racist if I had said anything?
This is a really long way of asking “how do I know I’m not being racist”, and I’m really sorry for it. I feel like I can’t really explain my struggle with it… I hope you understand what I mean?
In your situation with the research project, the girl was right by pointing out that the teaching method wouldn’t work for black students because race does play a part in how people learn and retain information.
As for knowing if you’re racist or not, the way that you described it sounds to me as though you’re not racist, you’re just not knowledgeable about what does or does not count as racism. Now, for you being a white person, that’s understandable because you’re white but if you want to educate yourself, you’re gonna have to do the work.
That can come through reading books about race, listening to podcasts or watching videos, and even through google searches. If you’d like, I can try to compile a small list for you so that you’d have a starting point ☺️
Why hasn’t this been done before?
