Im genuinely so tired of how many wild dogs and wolves and canids and whatnot lovers (and honestly kin aswell) on here treat domestic dogs like something less then. I know in hindsight it isnt * that * serious, but as a dude that has lived his whole life finding a heavier connection to dogs rather then people + have always had a special interest in them due to many psychological reasonings its BEYOND annoying. Dogs aren’t just a substitute for a wolf, they arent a “second-option” or a “back-up”. Dogs arent “unnatural man-made animals to only please stupid humans!!!!” , dogs arent fools that bark aimlessly to imitate the “cooler wild”.

Dogs are themselves. Dogs are versatile workers. They’re hunters for the hungry, fur catchers for the cold. They’re protectors for the ones that have no choice but to go unprotected. They’re the ones who provide service for the ones who can only see themselves in them. They’re companions, something for the lonely to turn to. They’re athlete’s for the sports-men. They can be everything, but don’t pretend to be something they’re not. Im tired of people seeing us as one thing or the other, instead of something that can hold great diversity.
