Just In My Feelings, Listening To Mono. As One Does.

The petals along the ray flowers seem dry and curled at the ends in pale oranges, browns, and greens, and the disc flowers inside the flowerhead, as well as the stem, are scratches of the same color palette. The background is a pale but vibrant blue that becomes darker in the shadows, and the entire painting is done in thick, short lines and strange angles that are keystones of post-impressionism.

The person wears a long medium blue jacket and dark blue jeans, with olive green backpack straps. Their right hand is tucked in the pocket of their jacket, and their left hand, black and presumably clad in a glove, is held out toward what may be the ribs of the figure. The figure is just a white apparition, presumably a ghost. They seem to be wearing a jacket and pants, but there aren’t many defining outlines in the shape, other than bright pale yellow outlining the hands, which are down by the figure’s sides. Around them is what appears to be a field, trees, and sky, made of browns, greens, oranges, and blues. But the shapes are somewhat messy and abstract, pulling the figures to the forefront. The figure is semi-translucent, showing the background and the person’s body on the other side of them, and the person’s face is not detailed, but their black eyes are wide, and their salmon-colored lips are closed and neither smiling nor frowning.

Oil painting “Morning on the Seine in the Rain” by Claude Monet shows a choppy river framed on the left and top by the elongated leaves of a willow tree, and what appears to be more trees in the distance, on the right. The foreground leaves are deep green, and there are light blue and green highlights giving the impression of a sky on the top, as well as reflected on the river. This painting is in the impressionist style, so nothing is crystal clear. The lines are thick, short, and layered with many hues and shades, giving a feeling of depth, shadow, and movement. Although the water seems choppy, the overall scene gives a sense of serenity and peace.
