Okay folks, I keep talking about this story I’m writing, and I figured the maybe 2 people and several bots that actually follow me might be interested in what I’m talking about! I’ve gotten back into writing fanfic recently after many MANY years, so here we gooo (this might also be me trying to be accountable and setting an actual goal to finish/post the dang thing shhhhhhh)

Name - Microcosmos

Pairing - tattoo artist!Jungkook x reader

Genre - AU, romance, angst, fluff

Rating - PG13 for subject matter at LEAST, possibly Mature. There will be cursing and descriptions of: non-consensual events (non-sexual), drinking, being drugged, panic attacks, fear of needles, and healing from mental trauma

Release date - the goal is sometime in August! Life is…difficult lately so as of right now I’m only about 1/2 done writing it 😭

BRIEF summary - After what was supposed to be a chill night out, you wake up with no memories and an ugly tattoo you did not want or ask for. Especially since it is well known you are very afraid of needles. As you heal from that trauma, you meet Jungkook when he is the artist assigned at your appointment to cover the botched tattoo.

Word count - oh god…right now we’re hovering around 16k…so it might be around 30k at the end? 40k?

Anything else? - Please be warned that this fic will have heavy mentions of a non-consensual event (not sexual) that happened under the influence of being drunk and drugged. There are descriptions of the reader, who is the protagonist of the story, having panic attacks directly caused from said event and everything surrounding it. I do not take this subject matter lightly, and I understand if this is too much for someone to handle reading. This is ultimately a story about healing, but in order to heal it needs to be understood what the person is healing FROM.

Folks…I am SO CLOSE to being done with the first draft of this dang story, but I was so angry and annoyed at something else last night that I basically turned on the laptop, stared at the document for a minute, then closed the laptop for the rest of the night. I’m gonna try to knock it out tonight, but I’m working a double shift at my job today so I might just eat a late dinner and call it a day as soon as I get home…

Non-native English speakers shouldn’t worry too much about finding words that sound the same confusing (brake-break, through-threw) when learning English bc every single person with English as their first language has had the universal experience of using L’Oréal shampoo in the colorful fish bottles at some point when they were kids and believed that “tear-free” meant if it gets in your eyes you won’t cry (and learned the meaning of betrayal that day) only to discover later that “tear-free” meant your hair won’t get tangled and it will be easier to brush out and not your eyes won’t burn with the fires of hell if it gets in them soooo....

Namjoon reminding me why he’s my ultimate bias I stg. Just…god, he is so handsome. It’s not even fair. So simple, yet so gorgeous.

This was me too! My older sister was Team NSYNC, my twin sister was Team BSB, meanwhile I basically listened to *everyone* - BSB, NSYNC, 98°, O-Town….I just really love boy bands okay? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I will say that the recent Netflix docu-series “This Is Pop” has gotten me back into deep diving into Boyz II Men’s discography and their songs STILL slay 20-30 years later ❤️
