April 2007: Michael Shoels, signs a memorial board for the victims of the Virginia Tech shooting, which took place four days prior. Michael is no stranger to tragedy. His eighteen-year-old son, Isiah Shoels, was murdered during the 1999 mass shooting at Columbine High School. Upon hearing the news of the latest tragedy, Michael flew out from Texas to visit the campus and offer his support.

will take a break from researching abt school shootings in the west and branch out on terrorist attacks, narco terrorism and insurgency in asia especially south asia, SEA & west asia (or middle east as people like to call it but i like to use west asia bc its a more geographically accurate term)
i already have some book knowledge of these things but its not enough and i think i should talk abt them more bc atleast i can maintain anonymity here without mfers threatening to completely wipe out my family. im scared though.

“Richard McBeef” by incelcore artist Gezebelle Gaburgably is a song inspired by Cho’s self-penned play of the same title. Not a bad song so to speak but the lazy chorus “Richard Mcbeef you’re r*p!ng me” is abysmal.
“Seung-Hui Cho” by Jsavant on spotify. Presumably written in Cho’s perspective. The lyrics are quite banal and rubbish and doesn’t seem to mention anything significant about him or the massacre. Why use his name to craft something ridiculous?
Another pathetic attempt at writing a song in Cho’s persective. The lyrics aren’t even worth discussing at all + they mentioned a victim’s name. Gay gay gay? kekeke? simply unserious and disrespectful.

• Three dramatized adaptations of the play Richard McBeef.
Richard McBeef: The Motion Picture — Mcbeef catching strays from Sue were the best scenes throughout the movie. The chainsaw scene was hilarious.
Richard McBeef: The play — “You ain’t my dad and you know it you deick” *bites into a granola bar aggressively*. Incredible performance by the cast. Better than the movie I must say.
Richard McBeef: The Lost Copy — This sucks but that’s the whole point of it I guess.
Darion Marcus Aguilar, the 19-year-old perpetrator of the 2014 Columbia Mall Shooting. he murdered 2 people and shot 5 others with a shotgun before committing suicide.
i know i will get sick of being here and disappear someday and nobody would care or notice but i hope all my cho posts survive for the future cho fans

COMPLAINTS MADE AGAINST CHO BY STUDENTS AT VT (and some of my thoughts regarding them)
• Accused of continuously stabbing a carpet in a girl’s room when he and his friends and a few other students came back to the girl’s room after a gathering. The same girl also accused Cho of writing a Romeo & Juliet quote on a board outside her room. She did not file a formal complaint to the Judicial Affairs of VT but Cho still got a warning from a campus officer.
• Tried to enter a female students room in disguise. This was mentioned in the full report to the Governor of Virginia and it says that this incident was reported in relation to the phone calls received by the girl and that Cho had allegedly tried to contact her in person.
• Two girls at VT also accused him of stalking them but they declined to press charges against him. Apparently they just ‘felt’ that Cho was stalking them. (duh)
• Cho’s suitemate Andy Koch also revealed that he used to harass him on calls.
• He was revealed to have taken pictures of female classmates legs as said by Nikki Giovanni (Professor in the English department at VT who also taught a few classes Cho had attended) only after the horrific crime happened. However in an archived article on Newsday from 2008, it mentions that he only took pictures of students which made them uncomfortable and did not elaborate further. This particular incident is not mentioned anywhere in the official report to the Governor of Virginia except in a few online articles where they don’t even bother to explain or provide proper sources. They simply went ahead with NG’s words but did NG actually say this? we’ll never know.
Also Virginia Tech Police Department did not receive any communication from the girls but those girls made complaints to the judicial affairs office of VT. Later on VTPD was notified of this matter and Cho received a warning from them.
It’s important to keep in mind that some of them are just accounts from his roommates and suitemates, and other students through some email reports about his behaviour and verbal reports to the police campus and fucking Nikki Giovanni of all people.
The most baffling part is that the entirety of English department, especially Nikki Giovanni and Lucinda Roy (Chair of English Department at VT) were completely unaware of the problems Cho was dealing with VTPD.
There was no direct communication involved between Virginia Tech Police Department, English department and the students so it’s safe to assume that a lot of facts were possibly sidelined along the way. It seems to me that everyone at VT was so keen on treating Cho Seunghui like a lunatic psychward escapee that they forgot how to address the problems and take actual actions against him & get him the help he needed.
WOWOOWOWWO i want to k myself. i spent two hours writing a post on cho and stupid tblr refused to upload and it just disappeared. this makes so mad but im gonna write it again anyway
love how im destined to come across evangelion being somehow related to every single interest i have. my beloved neon genesis evangelion, you are truly inescapable.
