Jeff Weise Infodump

He was born on August 8, 1988 in Minneapolis

He was a descendant of the Ojibwe tribe

He was stated to be abused physically and emotionally by his alcoholic mother

After his mother was placed in an institution because of her severe brain damage Weise was placed in custody to his paternal grandmother but was also taken care of by his two aunts.

Because of his rocky family life Weise attended many schools Pearson Elementary School from kindergarten to fourth grade; Bluff Creek Elementary School in for fifth grade; and Red Lake Middle School for sixth through eighth grade.

Weise was forced to repeat eighth grade because of truancy and his grades

He was enrolled in a special education program called the Learning center.

In middle school Weise was bullied because of his physical appearance and his wearing of black clothing

In high school Weise was seen as a 'goth kid' and withdrawn by his teachers but his fellow students saw him as "nonviolent".

He managed to have an exceptional social life and even managed to talk to girls

He seemed to have a history of troublesome behavior while also eventually becoming depressed with his life because of living in Red Lake which he described "as a place where people 'choose alcohol over friendship,' where women neglect 'their own flesh and blood' for relationships with men, where he could not escape 'the grave I'm continually digging for myself'."

Weise attempted suicide in May of 2004 but he allegedly changed his mind but then in June 2004 he attempted suicide again and his aunts arranged for him to go to Red Lake Medical Center to be hospitalized at a facility located away from the reservation.

His treatment included counseling and a prescription for Prozac. A source has stated that Jeff's Prozac prescription was risen to 60 mg a week before the shooting.

Weise had political views in which he admired Adolf Hitler and Nazism, allegedly posting revelations with the intent of persuading other Native Americans to become Nazis as well.

He threatened to shoot up the school on April 20th the date of the Columbine shooting and Hitler's birthday. The threat he made got him suspended from school and Weise was forced to attend a homeschooling program.

Jeff was a fan of the movies Zero Day and Elephant and he allegedly used to skip to the parts where there was a massacre.

Weise's computer revealed a stream of instant messages to other kids in Red Lake, hoping to enlist them in his school shooting.
