I don't know why Billy antis seem to think Neil is any better.... Even if he's as bad, racist and homophobic as you think he is, where exactly do you think he learned it from?! Couldn't possibly be the man who called him a slur, threw him against a wall, and was openly towards him and his mother, couldn't possibly, right?

There's literally a popular anti billy post arguing that Neil isn't bigoted and that he's just "disciplining" his son. That is the "reality" that these people live in and base their entire interpretation of Neil around.

It does not matter to them that abuse is still abuse even if they think Neil has the right to discipline Billy nor does it matter to them that Neil calls Billy the f slur which would make him a bigot.

They're basing their entire interpretation of Billy and his experiences on a mass delusion that they keep sharing and reinforcing through their fanworks and "meta" discussions.

its actually bonkers to me that in season 1 they set up barb being taken in steves pool, he fully has a gateway to the upside down in his backyard because (unless im forgetting something) no other character is randomly taken just... out in the open? how many characters on that show have bled yet no one was being targeted by a demogorgon because of it.

so you have a main character living in a house with a portal to a hell world in his backyard and it just.... never gets addressed again lmfao what is this. is it me? am i the one missing something?
