Even before his vision cleared, Wild could smell the salt on the air, the tell-tale scents of seaweed and sand and seawater mingling around him. He exited the portal and inhaled deeply, looking around to get his barings. For a moment, just a moment, he was sure that he had arrived in Lurelin. The lookout tower by the water’s edge, the crystal clear sea lapping on the sand, the low, thatched houses - it was all beautifully, heartbreakingly familiar.

He was testing the Aspect’s buckle before he knew what he was doing and by the time he had registered that he was still stuck in this body, he also realised that he was not, in fact, in his own era. This town, while it bore a striking resemblance to Lurelin, was in fact foreign to him. The water lapped in too close, cutting the beach in half. The buildings were slightly wrong, the thatching not quite right, the positioning just slightly off.

He tried not to show his disappointment to the rest of the Chain as they stumbled through.

Four looked around as he stepped through the portal and said “Aw, nice, Outset!” before promptly throwing up on the sand.

i settled on a skink, specifically a blue tailed one

they are such lads

Isere and Allia are a pair of basilisk siblings cloned from the same extinct egg samples, about as biologically related as they could be

Isere is more of a nervous wreck compared to his sister despite being older, he just wants to be left alone and avoids conflict

Allia is more defiant and firey, the kind to speak up when Isere is too scared to as she was more exposed to the post Belos era and didn't have to live in fear as long as her brother
