Luz and Vee fanart for @a-flaming-idiot 's AU fanfic, 'Titan Spawn' after I did a reread

I highly recommend this fic. It's one of my favorite Owl house AUs. it has feels, great dialogue, descriptions, and great characterization (and tons of Vee).

I love the dynamic of Luz and Vee as siblings in this so much. Luz is an absolute gremlin, and Eda's chaotic mischief rubs off on Vee. I love it, and recommend it to anyone that loves Owl House fanfiction!

Isere and Allia are a pair of basilisk siblings cloned from the same extinct egg samples, about as biologically related as they could be

Isere is more of a nervous wreck compared to his sister despite being older, he just wants to be left alone and avoids conflict

Allia is more defiant and firey, the kind to speak up when Isere is too scared to as she was more exposed to the post Belos era and didn't have to live in fear as long as her brother

Some stuff for an au I've been thinking about, where Vee is raised by Camila & Manny for her whole life. It isn't super in depth so far, but I think it has a bit of potential, especially with Vee being new to the Isles and learning about her origins as a basilisk.

If she went to Hexside, I headcanon she would do Beastkeeping & healing, as well as illusions and maybe bard magic (I have a headcanon that basilisks can release magic through their breath to infuse wind instruments and do rudimentary bard spells.)

Old sketches I stumbled on that I really like, so I'm posting them here

Idea from brainstorming an AU where Vee ends up in the human realm as a baby and finds her way to the boiling Isles as a teenager and meets other basilisks for the first time.

All the other basilisks (I headcanon the Inspector/Greater Basilisk was Number 1) were shown in the show, so it bugged me that we had no idea what happened to number II. I came up with this design and I have to say I quite like it.

She grows up having little to no idea of what she is or where she came from, so when she stumbles into a world of magic that overloads her senses, she's completely overwhelmed.

When she goes to the Conformatorium, she follows a strangely familiar scent down through a hidden passage and into where the Basilisks were held before they escaped.

That's where Number II comes in. They were the one to help Vee escape to the human realm, so when they were recaptured, they were treated with far more inhumanity. Their subsequent lack of strength meant they weren't able to escape with the other basilisks later on.

This drawing is a loose idea for the scene when they reunite, and Vee gives Two the motivation (and magic) to escape.

(I really don't promise that I would be able to have the effort to make this a full story. I'm inconsistant at best, and I've never written or posted a full piece of fanfiction before.)

They'd be so cute together. In this AU, Vee and Masha have been friends since they were like, 7. They did the whole friends to lovers thing, and then they come to Hexside, and Willow promptly devolves into a useless gay mess around them.

When I was picking Masha's tracks, I thought they were super fitting, not just because of the traditional witchyness of Potions and oracle, but the color scheme kinda matches with the nb pride flag a little bit.

This is my interpretation of what Luz looks like in her human and Basilisk forms. I took some liberties in order for her not to look too similar to Vee, including different ears, tail and she also has more hair, as a unique trait of being part Mammalian compared to the other Basilisks.

Her human form with basilisk features showing. I found it to be pretty hard to make her basilisk face resemble herself while also not looking wierd, but I sure think It turned out well.

Vee with a Palisman! His name is Dewdrop, and he's precious, and Vee loves him like a baby, but he's protective and tries to act big, but he's tiny. (Then again, if a bug this big in real life threatened me, I would probably run for the hills)

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted their species to be, but then when I started thinking about insects, my mind went to these little fellas that hide in plain sight, JUST. LIKE. VEE.

I'm definitely using him in my AU (where Vee grows up on earth and comes with Masha to the Boiling Isles [I realize I probably need a name for it]). Maybe they bond on Palisman Adoption Day, or earlier, IDK.

Vee and King Sibling Dynamic in my AU is so fascinating to think about.

Thoughts Below

[For context, Vee ended up in the human realm very early and is adopted as an only child by the Nocedas (I'm not giving away what happened to Luz, cuz I actually want some stuff to write about when I finally do decide to ya know... Write it).]

Cause like, they're both Orphans of seemingly exctict species, they then get adopted by parents who have no idea wth they even are. Then they find out that the other members of their kind were killed/tortured.

I feel like Vee would be super supportive of King's hurt feelings about his dad. She would comfort him since she knows what it's like not knowing your birth family.

King would also share all of his demon knowledge with her, and she'd use shapeshifting to engage with the lessons and mimic the creatures shown.

Number II, aka Tulip🌷

Age≈ late 20's/early 30's (~15 years older than Vee)

Goes by They/Them, Is the second oldest of the experimented Basilisks. They firsthand witnessed Number One(Greater basilisk that attacks Hexide)'s descent into madness and animalistic hunger. They were scared of what they could become, so they fought extra hard to retain their sanity, vowing to protect their younger kin. Tulip often risked taking punishments from the captors in the other's stead.

At around 15 years old, Tulip hears scouts talk about a new test subject that hatched recently and will soon be ready for experiments. Tulip breaks out and rescues the infant number five. A month of laying low later, and they are both hiding in a cave. Tulip finds a pool of Titan's blood trapped deep within, and they both enter into the human realm.

Tulip can't stay. They know they need to protect Treble and Ivy. So they watch in the shadows as Vee is taken into the care of a couple of humans before leaving her behind, where she can grow up in a place far from the Emperor's grasp. They absorb the remaining magic in the portal, severing this temporary link so that nobody can follow their child.

I got the idea to name him Treble from The Angel of the Owl house, by OwlHouseAngel on A03. I thought fit well, considering they're playing Eda's Citern in the finale, and the Idea of a basilisk playing instruments sounds cool. (even inspired some things for my AU)

Both were created from the same set of samples at the same time, making them twins. They've got a close-knit sibling bond, very protective of each other. Treble gets headstrong and does risky things like attack coven scouts. Ivy often has to reign Treble in to prevent him from being too reckless. She tends to take an overly cautious approach to anything new.

I'm still not entirely sure how they play into the AU, but they meet Vee and are introduced to Camila to be accepted into their family

I loved this shot when I first saw it, I'm glad to see at least someone in the crew cares about them

I like to think she has a collection of different sweaters and chooses to wear them to keep her warm. Basilisks are mostly cold-blooded but passivly use up their magic to keep warm in cold temperatures. Vee likes to conserve energy by dressing warm during the colder months

She ended up in the human realm thanks to Tulip and was quickly adopted by the Nocedas. Not knowing about her origins, she's horrified learning what her kin has gone through.

She's less timid when confronting danger and hasn't gone through her canon trauma (minus a few fears like sharp objects and dark basements from ). She does, however, have trauma and grief from Manny's sickness and death.
