Full Family AU Part Nine

At school, Luz was doing some coloring of her own.

She sat at a small table and used crayons to draw out her family. She got her mom and her dad, getting all their features just right. At least, to her eyes. To Luz's teacher, it looked as though Luz had made two rotund stick figures with curly squiggles on one head and a squiggle of a beard on the other.

"That's a nice drawing," the teacher told her.

Luz beamed. "It's my Mami and Papi!"

"Well, that's nice. And what's that?" She points at a crayon drawing of what looks like a snake with a speech bubble going "Hello."

"That's my little secret," Luz said. "And its unfinished."

The teacher laughed. "So adorable..."

She walked away, leaving Luz to continue to draw some more so she can watch over the other students. Alone once more, Luz brought her attention back to her drawing of Vee, adding more details to her features.

"You're so cool," Luz said to the drawing. "I wish you were here, though. We'd have fun, I'd show you how to draw, we'd play with the goopy stuff in the toy box, play hide and seek--Oh, you'd probably be good at hide and seek. Can look like anyone."

Luz then got an idea. One that made her smile wider and with so much glee. She grabbed more crayons and more paper and started drawing.

"Maybe I could help you look like anyone...!" she muttered, taking some yellow and blue crayons for some additional details.
