I was in my owl house phase, I was going through a possible change in my art style so it might look a bit rough but I enjoyed making them. :)
this is such an angsty moment but toh twitter’s memes are killing me 💀
imagine one day King takes one or two members of his plush army and tells them he has a very special, top secret, super-important mission for them. He says he needs them to guard something of extreme importance, something very valuable to him, and they need to protect it from danger at all costs.
Then he gives them to Luz.

I just find it very interesting that it was specifically the light glyph that was (quite literally) kept from Philip, but was given to Luz first. Kinda symbolic!
He's impressed with Luz's glyph use in King's Tide too. It took him years to figure out glyph combos.
Philip sees magic as a tool. And he doesn't exactly use it in a benevolent manner.
On the other hand, Luz understands that magic is a gift from the Titan, and is so very grateful for it.
I don't know. I just like this contrast. I guess with all the Philip/Luz parallels out there, it's kinda interesting to see a very critical example of how they are so freaking different.
