I've been working on this on and off for like a long time and honestly I kinda hate it now, but this is like a revamp of these but with the Beasts too lmao

This also has a headcanon I have of if the Legends had virtues like the Ancients and Beasts

Also yes I'm aware Fire and Moon might fit more if they switched but I have lore reasons leave me alone

while I was doing the dishes I got this thought; in TFP, somehow bulk and bee were targeted and they got turned into sparklings. how and why, no clue but they are. and ratchet took one good look at the two sparklings and stated that bee needs to stay in the medbay.

ofc he gave each sparkling a thorough check up but he insisted that bee has to stay in the medbay as he’s now even more younger and smaller. hence he requires more supervision just in case of any accidents, he didn’t let anyone get a word in as he ushered them out of the room. OP didn’t argue back with his medic’s demands but he found it quite odd how insistent he was about it. but he had to let the thought go as bulk was now crying and the rest wasn’t sure what to do.

while the reason was solid; bee is now younger than before and smaller, they couldn’t afford him to get hurt in such a delicate state and thus needed to keep an extra optic on him. another reason is that ratchet wanted sparkling bee to himself. as he sees bee as a son like OP does, and I don’t think in this world they met when bee was young but when he was in his “teen” years. only growing closer to the prime and medic when he became a young adult. and to see the bot he views as his son in sparkling form, ratchet couldn’t help himself but feel a sense of adoration and protectiveness. so for the remainder of the time bee and bulk was in sparkling form, ratchet spent the entire time fussing over/playing with/caring for bee. occasionally he would let the others see him. he thought it was cute watching bulk and bee play together but he couldn’t let go of the worry bulk would accidentally hurt bee.

I think Ratchet would feel happy for the first time in a long time.

Bee really does bring the best out of him and the team hears Ratchet laugh for the first time. A real laugh. Optimus hasn’t heard this laugh since before the war.

It reminds him of all the war took from them and he hopes Bee can remember this laugh when he turns back to normal.
