Yooooooooo!!!! This is so cool! Okay so may I add on a bit and ask more about it? Because I really like the idea of Techno being a bounty hunter but in secret. Taking the secret identity idea from the Antihero AU and combining it with the goal of the Bounty hunter AU… you could even make all the osmp members heroes, and give reason to Techno for going after them. But like of course he gets attached and stuff, or he already was and finds out about it(see: Tommy being his brother in the Antihero AU)stuff like that!

But overall this sounds really cool!

my 2 favorites AUs is where Techno is an antihero and where he is a bounty hunter, if I merged them I think it would have a steampunk kinda vibe, basically in the antihero au they have this very advanced gadgets and technology and the bounty hunter au it takes place in the osmp, so maybe there could be this cool technology to kinda buff the abilities they already have

Wow this one is absolutely brilliant, because from far it really looks like he’s being ungrateful and that being pampered is still unsatisfactory. But then you look closer and realize that he is actually pinned down and he just looks so done with the situation. Expertly to designed to tell a story. Really cool!

Ma Belle Firefly you are so lucky I binged last life and hermitcraft(Grian POV) recently. I didn’t even know what Boatem was until this week!(Although to be fair I checked it out mostly because you kept posting about it, so the propaganda worked I guess!)

But anyways to answer your question, these all depend on how you headcanon the connections between the series, if 3rd life/Last life were just competitions, then it probably wouldn’t be that bad(think how during mcc there have been “cheaters”, but none of the competitors are going to cut them off over it). So to make it more interesting, let’s run with the world setting that in 3rd life, they are all taken there against their wills and forced to compete(supposedly for their lives). The game ends and Grian wins, but everyone is brought back. They weren’t really dead, everyone was simply made to believe that they were by whatever system is controlling this.(This preserves all the angstyness). Afterwards Hermitcraft 8 starts and people forgive eachother, because well… they have to? Try looking your friends in the eyes if you’ve literally tried to kill them…(or actually killed them…) and they learn to live with the guilt.

Until… Last life begins, and instead of just appearing in a new world and this time knowing that they won’t actually die for real… the server or controlling entity resets their memories and makes it seem like this is the first time they’ve done it. Trapping them in a loop of fighting to the death… recuperating… and then going again. With each time they leave the server they get all of their memories back. Just a whole lot of angst in that general direction. But the question is: How does this all affect the AU??? Well you see, if the reason Grian clips his wings the first time around is because he wants it to be a fair fight at least… seeing as they’re all being sent to their deaths… (In the normal story, this could be the in-canon explanation for why Grian starts off without Elytra in HC) maybe he goes back in time after winning because he knows now that it was all a trick, and because he doesn’t want to go back to Hermitcraft without them if he knows there was no point to clipping them in the first place, and as a result, he changes the story… but Grian figures it’s fine because he would have won regardless, so it wouldn’t have mattered if he had an advantage in the first place. So in this case let’s say that 3rd life Grian tells his friends before they start that he wants to clip his wings… and he wants them to help(taken from your headcanon ;) ) But as he’s off on his own for a bit, he gets approached by himself from the end of the series, who tells him he’s going to win anyways and therefore deserves to keep his wings. But to not tell the others in case it really messes up the timeline. When this Grian from this new timeline goes back to the others, he tells them he’s not going through with it and he intends to keep his wings. The others agree at first, but as the series progresses and Grian continues to win, they grow resentful, especially because he’s now got more confidence(after being told that he’s going to win), so they start calling him a cheater. And at the end of the series when he fights Scar… that’s all they can call him… However, when they are brought back to Hermitcraft after realizing that they are alive they still hold all of that resentment towards Grian because they think that the only reason he won is because of those wings. And no matter how much Grian tries to explain the futility of the situation, they refuse to look him in the eye.

Ok so lately I’ve been working on a fic for prime defenders where Ashe goes back in time and changes something, and then has to deal with the consequences of that choice in the present

The second au is my headcanon about how grians friends all help clip his wings for 3rd life.

So my new au is this: Grian goes back in time and stops himself from actually clipping his wings. So now he returns from the past and has to deal with the repercussions of that (aka him having an unfair advantage during 3rd life). The question is this. How does this effect his relationship with others? How do they treat him after that?
