I always hate these misconceptions that giorno never cared abt the bucci gang. He did care, and he cried at all of their deaths, but the anime removed it for some reason. Also giorno being emotionless just isn't true, he expresses his emotions differently because he was in an abusive household and had to learn how to not express any emotions that would get him in trouble, and he learned how to make people like him no matter who it was that way too.

Also, before you read the entire manga trying to find him crying with tears and coming up empty-handed, I'll just show you it.

The anime is mostly to blame for the emotionless giorno stuff because it doesn't pick up on smaller details like this and the facial expressions the characters make.

The anime also ages him up a lot. They remove all his childish moments, and it makes it look like he isn't 15 at all, same with bucciallati being only 20.

The same thing happened with jotaro actually- I'd recommend reading the manga for that, too.

I mean obviously though, giorno isnt gonna be as affected by the deaths in golden wind as much as fugo would, but even if he didn't know them for very long he still cares about his friends deaths as much as any 15 y/o would, and I think the reason why giorno kept going was because if he stopped, all the sacrifices they made would go to waste. My personal opinion is that if giorno did try to stop, bucciallati would make him keep going anyways.

Giorno has a strong sense of justice, and he didn't become the boss for an ego trip. He did it so he could help people the way the unnamed mafia guy helped him.

Please, I beg of you do not read jjba on a surface level like the anime did.

No offense to Giorno Giovanna but I have to call him out. That man played Bruno like a mf fiddle and got half of Bucci gang wiped out in a week of knowing them. Man didn’t give a fuck. He wanted to be mafia head honcho. I ain’t saying the death didn’t get to him, because he goes from teenager with terrible home life to seeing Leone Abbachio with a softball sized hole I’m his chest within like 3-4 days. But shit didn’t get to him get to him. Bro hardly knew anybody in Bucci Gang’s names when they started dropping. They was disposable to him because if bro gave a fuck about them, he would’ve said “nah time to back off this” when Bruno died and he had to him into a zombie

I get why La Squadra went out how they did. They had to spin for Sorbet and Gelato. Plus, they’re experienced hitmen so you know they know how to poker face shit. But giorno did not give a fuck about Bucci Gang as people. Not on a deep emotional level. He was the new kid that Bruno dragged in. But it’s how could he? He only knew Bucci gang formally for 168 hours.

I got love for lil bro but I cannot act like he gave a fuck on the level that somebody like Mista or Fugo did.
