There is such a thing as too much looking. Kathryn knows, because she’s been doing it. All morning, Arthur’s been glancing sideways and catching her watching him, her cheeks hot, her eyes bright. She keeps staring at his hands, imagining him doing again what he did last night. Of all the things she likes about him, his hands are one of her favourites. Fingers long, strong. Palms broad and rough. They were anyway, before he did what he did. But now she likes them even more.

The next time he turns his head, he grins, the spread of it stretching his cheeks out, making the crows feet bunch in the corners of his eyes.

Kathryn scrunches her nose up. “What?”

“Nothing.” He tightens his grip on his mare’s reins as she flattens her ears backwards. It’s a quirk she has, this crazy new horse of his. Her temper blowing up fast and quick as a tornado. She nearly bit Kathryn this morning, and it wasn’t the first time.

Still. She can’t hate her. Arthur looks entirely too happy with her, absorbed in the mercurial flashes of her moods, crooning to her when he thinks Kathryn isn’t listening. It makes her insides squeeze when she hears him murmuring to her, calling her a good girl.

Just a quick question are you heterosexual

I’m very disappointed with The Haunting of Bly Manor... the beginning’s cool, the characters have potential accents not counting and the story could have been awesome

But I’d give it a 5/10 and those are 5 points on lesbian representation and potential alone

There’re characters whose stories get explained for no reason (the kids’ parents, and Uncle Henry’s involvement with their mother...? They even imply that how they died is important, and they never explain, Dani’s ex’s story was completely pointless and so was his ‘ghost’, Peter’s backstory was told in half a scene and it was much more important)

The ghost story doesn’t make much sense to me at all. What was Viola’s reason for anything? What are those flashbacks they have? Do all ghosts have them? What exactly did Peter want by possessing the boy? He’d try to leave by possessing Rebecca and that got him nowhere...? Do the ghosts even manage to “cross to the other side”? If so, why?

Also Jamie’s telling the story in front of Uncle Henry, Miles, and Flora and not one of them realises it’s their story?
