Inktober - Day 23 And 24

Inktober - Day 23 and 24
I thought I'd put these two together, as they're twins. They've shown up in some postcards before, but they don't even have names yet. I'm sure I'll think of something.

Inktober - Day 28
I was listening to Siren Song by Bat for Lashes (it's on the playlist from our Halloween Mini Music Zine) and this happened.
I'm still not sure if adding the water was the right decision. It gave me the misty effect I wanted, but I'm not sure if the drowned girl looks as good. Hmm.

Sketchavember - Day 6
I thought I'd try an environment picture, since I've been told that backgrounds are a weak spot of mine. I'm not too happy with this one either, that's two in a row! I'll have to try harder!
Don't drink the water.

Inktober - Day 26
More wonky anatomy, oh dear. This is what happens when I draw late at night.
Since you can sometimes see them a little bit in 3-quarter angle pictures, I wanted to show what the ritual modifications the Vrega get look like. Almost all Vrega are subjected to this when they come of age, as part of their Trial. Technically the spikes can be placed anywhere, as long as they're worked into the bone, but these placements are traditional. After their Trial women are usually taught how to fight using their new arm-spikes. Men just have to get used to not being able to sleep on their backs.

Sketchavember - Day 3
I decided to try drawing the mirror twins in my normal style. They seemed to come out okay.

Sketchavember - Day 9
Hmm yes this is much better. I obviously have better ideas when I have a theme to provide some restrictions. Although I should have already know that since it's why I went into illustration instead of fine art. *facepalm*
The Crow Boy comes in through the window, never the door.
