Okay, You Turned Off Your Comments, So I Will Explain This In A Repost. All Of Your Questions Are Answered
Okay, you turned off your comments, so I will explain this in a repost. All of your questions are answered in the manga.
First off, it’s specified in the manga that Light tore out all the pages with his handwriting.
And as for the whole talking with Mikami thing, the anime actually cut out a lot of arc 2. One big thing is that Light in the manga didn’t tell Kiyomi about him being Kira immediately. The reason nobody suspected Light talking to “Kira” is because in the manga, Light encouraged Kiyomi to stand up to Kira in a previous conversation, which is something that at the time of the call could have gotten them both killed. So none of them really had a choice in the matter in removing the communication devices, and the reasoning was more because Kiyomi was so heavily guarded (like seriously, they even commented her being more protected than the president).
Note that at that point in the manga, Aizawa was SUPER suspicious of Light and that whole chapter, Aizawa’s thought process can be summarized as “Light, I see you. I SEE YOU! Can you stop being so obvious!”
So, I was rewatching Death Note recently, because my brother was watching it for the first time. And we ended up with a couple of doubts. I was wondering if anyone on here can clear them up please. 🙂
So like, when L gets the notebook after Higuchi is killed, why doesn't he compare the handwriting in the notebook with Light and Misa's handwriting? I think it was Misa's notebook, so her handwriting should have been on its earlier pages. And if he had found that out, he could have caught Light too.
Or am I forgetting something. Can happen because I tend to forget even recently seen stuff, but I just can't get this question out of my mind.
The second isn't a doubt, but more like a complaint my brother had. He thinks everyone gives Light too much benefit of doubt even in situations where it's obvious that he could be Kira. For example, when he had gone to meet Kiyomi first time, and Mikami had asked to close the communication stuff, I mean, if anyone else had been Kira why would they have bothered asking the communications to be closed. It was only going to benefit Light. That should have been obvious to the others.
Anyways, I love Death Note, even though I sometimes rant about it lol. Maybe I am just overthinking or nitpicking this.
But still, if you know, tell me in comments! :D

Yeah taking this scene out was not okay in the anime. This part was a highlight of the manga but no, the anime just abandoned this, just like they abandoned the personalities of Near, Mello, and a good chunk of the task force in arc 2.
forever disappointed that the dn anime doesn’t have the scene of light huddled under his blankets in fear after realizing he killed two people
death note afterlife au where everyone who died trying to stop kira has to all watch Stardust style until hes killed. snarky commentary included
Brother: Why does L sit like that again?
Me: It’s supposed to increase his deductive reasoning ability by 40%.
Brother: Aight, let’s test this bitch out *gets into position*
Me:
Brother:
Me: Do you feel smarter yet?
Brother: Man’s gonna get arthritis by age 30
im sooo sad that L’s funeral was a deleted scene from death note because its so fucking funny. light starts getting on all fours on top of this man’s grave and laughing like a maniac and ryuk is just standing there like
