I DO NOT HAVE A DADDY KINK-.. but imagining the song Sometimes by Nick Lutso is about Emily and Markus, violent revolution Markus specifically. He takes her captive to protect her and she does something really bad and is crying and Markus of course is at her aid “sometimes all you have to say if daddy make it go away” is such a them line.
The Selfshippers Guide to Gushing
I noticed a lot of people say that when they’re asked to gush they don’t really know what to say in the moment so I thought I’d come up with a guide to kinda help people along when they wanna gush but feel stuck!
Gushing doesn’t have to be paragraphs upon paragraphs about why you love them. It doesn’t even have to be poetic. Just be passionate or content about what you’re saying and you’re golden.
Think about what made you wanna gush in the first place. Did you see something about your F/O that just made you spill your uwus everywhere? Describe what it was and what it makes you feel. Describe how you’re feeling? Do you feel like you’re gonna burst with happiness? Do you feel butterflies? Say it!
Compliment your F/O! You’ve given a compliment before so give them one! That’s apart of gushing is telling people what’s so amazing about them. Use adjectives to get the weight of your feelings across. These include words like breathtaking, awe inspiring, incredible, handsome, etc. You can use these sources to find even more describing words if you don’t wanna be repetitive.
Gushing can take the form of infodumping about them as well. Telling people about their backstory or facts about the character that get you excited. Tell people about what makes them so interesting! It doesn’t always have to be “My F/O is GORGEOUS” though that definitely counts too.
Sometimes you can’t always articulate what you’re saying and that’s okay. Gifs, emojis, keyboard smashing. That’s a valid way to gush if you don’t feel like using words or you’re overwhelmed!
Use pictures of your F/O to show people what you’re talking about! Sometimes that aids you in really getting your point across and people can see the person you’re in love with!!
Most of all, find an enthusiastic audience! A partner who is willing to listen and gush just as much as you really helps the mood and can get you pumped up! It’s no fun when you can tell they’re not listening or invested!
