Today I found out the reason chameleons change color isn’t to blend in with their surroundings, but to show that they’re happy/excited. Like if they’re about to mate or fight, their colors will become brighter and more saturated. Now all I can think about is this applying to Githyanki. And I think it works really well because Githyanki are kinda reptilian and every time I’d read a fanfic where Lae’zel blushes it always sounds so weird to me because she’s green and I’m just physically incapable of imagining her blushing. So I really like the idea that maybe she turns a really bright yellow/green and her spots turn red when she’s flustered or happy (or horny).

Gale really doesn't make any bones about how much he adores Tav. Just giving him artifacts makes him trail Tav like a puppy. Even in the shadow lands, Gale gets so worked up he basically writes a porno of him and Tav all while being an adorable nerd on top of it.
