So get this. In the musical ride the cyclone, the representation of physical disability in Ricky Potts character was already pretty horrible. Because he loses it as soon as he enters the afterlife even though it’s such a vital part of his character. And it’s literally just for the ease of making him “better” to choreograph with. To this day, there has only been one person who is disabled in real life that has played this character, and they were treated horribly, not at all accommodated, not even told the character was written to have a disability, to the point where they were physically ill on set. They were then fired for being too disabled. To this day, the theatre blocks any attempts to speak out about the incident and refuses to even admit that it happened. The actor has received absolutely no compensation. Well now the official writers of the show have consented to the disability being removed entirely. Erased. Gone. What little representation was there was garbage anyway, but when I tell you I wouldn’t hesitate to deck the people responsible for this. OH and by the way, anyone who does the show now has to use that version of the script

so tired of seeing goncharov fans on here being like “omg goncharov/katya/sofia polycule!! katya has two hands!!!” when the whole POINT is that katya CANT have both, she has to CHOOSE, and it’s ultimately left ambiguous whether or not she made the right choice……..like i get wanting happy endings for the characters but i feel like this kind of shallow interpretation of katya’s respective relationships with goncharov and sofia just cheapens the story!!!

saw a post abt "if you must eat animals eat bugs not mammals and birds because at least bugs dont have the ability to love!!!" and ok first off, rude to bugs. lots of bugs participate in relationships we would recognize as similar to the ways we express love. and also i do not think that not experiencing human-y emotions makes an animal less deserving of life, that is weird. second off, you cant justify eating things by only eating shit that "deserves it" or doesnt meet ur alive-ness standards. theres no way to cut that off, everything is always more connected and mote aware and more interesting and more intelligent than we think it is. only way u are going to get not-experiencing food is if you eat fruit nectar honey eggs and mushrooms exclusively. plants are alive and they love each other and they enjoy their existences and experience a lot of complex things! there is no cut off of a living thing being a weird automaton that makes it non-living enough to be edible. you will always be eating a being. u have to get used to reciprocity. u are going to get eaten some day! u can make the world a nice place for other things that are eating each other and having a nice time! its ok. eat.
It’s weird because I see the max hive mind in like a totally different way. Like I see it as super connected, and he can move each body like different finger on the same hand. Like not so much as multiple minds that are linked as one mind in a bunch of bodies—🦹🏻
