Dream World

☁️ So, my understanding of the dream world is that Albus is an actual paladin, and isn't considered a good for nothing bastard, and he actually has a good relationship with Devlin

☁️ Now, we all know Faithful wasn't exactly supposed to be there, but let's just say that the dream world is another timeline/au for my sake

☁️ And in this world, Albus isn't a bastard, he had a loving mother, older brother, as well as a father

☁️ I'm going to guess that they (Albus and Devlin) had different mothers still

☁️ So, in this world, perhaps Devlin's birth mom passed away due to an illness not long after he was born or when he was very young, and later on Knight Paladin York met Albus' mother, henceforth having him

☁️ (None of that was important, I just want to touch on all of the things that aren't really explained for reasons yeah but I was curious and came up with my own explanation. Cause my brain is everywhere for this one y'all.)

☁️ Now, like it mentioned in the video, Albus was trained by Devlin, as well as part of Devlin's group. Albus definitely admires his big brother, cause who wouldn't??

☁️ She travels around painting the pretty scenery she finds, and sells her portraits along the way

☁️ She has a home that she shares with her precious baby, Kerano <33

☁️ Kerano showed up on Faithful's doorstep one chilly night, swaddled in a blanket with a note that said "This is Kerano, her birthday is [her birthday], please take care of her kind stranger."

☁️ Faithful quickly brought her inside and warmed her up a nice bottle of milk

☁️ As you travelled, so did Kerano

☁️ You can't exactly let that chaotic little gremlin stay home alone, and all of Faithful's relatives lived very far from her

☁️ But the travels are filled with learning experiences!

☁️ How Faithful and Albus met are a bit similar to the video, except Kerano had sprained her ankle while running around as Faithful painted

☁️ She didn't see the root and fell to the ground, letting out a shriek of pain

☁️ Faithful drops her paint palette and brush as she ran towards Kerano, not realizing that there are heavy footsteps heading the same direction as her

☁️ Faithful is reaching for Kerano and is asking what happened and what's hurting when Albus shows up, frazzled and ready to pull his sword out on some bandits trying to rob someone

☁️ Faithful whips around and asks him who he is, slightly frazzled in the whole situation

☁️ Albus explains as gently as he can that he's a knight, and ran over to the scream assuming that there was a bandit

☁️ He briskly walked over to Kerano, looking her over and seeing her now swelling ankle

☁️ "Twist your ankle kid?" He didn't wait for a response as he turned to Faithful, asking her something

☁️ "I can bring her to my brother's tavern nearby, he has some beds where you and the kid here can rest."

☁️ Faithful was nervous, and slightly hesitant about accepting his offer, but did so because he was a knight, and the knights here were well known for their hospitality

☁️ "O-okay, but I need to grab my equipment first, I-I was painting when she fell and if I leave it alone someone is sure to steal it."

☁️ Faithful runs quickly, haphazardly putting her paints into their box, tossing the brush she was using into its bag with the knowledge she'd have to clean the entire thing later, and quickly folds her easel down while grabbing the small canvas, only half of the stream she thought was so endearing was finished

☁️ As she started walking back, she heard a familiar giggle, one that belonged to Kerano

☁️ When she saw Albus and Kerano, she was on his back as he told a story about a thief around here who did the same thing she did, but while he was escaping from a pickpocket from the wrong person

☁️ Albus saw that Faithful was coming back, and started to walk in the direction of his brothers tavern

☁️ The walk wasn't too long, and you got to learn a little about Albus along the way

☁️ By the time you three arrived, the sun was setting, the tavern having a few people start to walk inside the doors

☁️ Albus walked up to the bar and spoke to a dirty blonde, who you assumed was the "Devlin" he spoke of during your walk

☁️ And that's how you, Albus, and Devlin met

☁️ Kerano is Devlin's pride and joy, even though she eggs Albus onto drink more than he should when he's supposed to be on patrol, she's a sweetheart

☁️ Albus is showing Kerano how to fight with swords in his free time

☁️ Why you might ask? Cause he can't resist her puppy eyes 🥺

☁️ So now, a good chunk of the time Kerano is training with Albus behind the tavern with some wooden swords that all knights start out with

☁️ After some talking between Faithful and Devlin, he learns that she's an artist and commissions her to do something with the walls

☁️ They're kinda.. bleak

☁️ There needs to be more color, more personality, more life in the building

☁️ Sometimes, when Albus is feeling a bit extra, he'll ask Faithful to paint some portraits for him in very, what's the word, extraordinary poses, convincing himself that he can hold it for as long as you need him to

☁️ Only for him to regret it within the first 20 minutes

☁️ Kerano and Devlin are making bets on how long Albus will stay still for before he decided he can't do it anymore

☁️ Whether you, as Faithful, choose Albus or Devlin is a sweet ending

☁️ They both love you and Kerano, she's a joy to have around!

☁️ However, they do have questions

☁️ Like, did she have a spouse that produced the child, did she get a sperm donation, or did Faithful steal her?? (Thank you Albus for the last two.)

☁️ And when Faithful explains they're surprised someone did that, but also understand that they had their reasonings and are happy she could give Kerano a good life and childhood

Reader feeling ignored by her due to work commitments and not much effort on her part to make up for it. The moment they mention it, it leads to a big argument with the reader leaving despite being late evening. She thinks it's just a bluff until she wakes up the following morning and they're still not back (clothes gone and phone turned off). Hopefully a slightly better/comfort ending where she can start to win back their love.

We all know Carmilla is a work oriented woman, and sometimes around the beginning of the month before the extermination, she gets some VERY large orders, causing her to neglect her own health sometimes to make sure everything is done precisely and without any issues

And you loved her for that, really. It inspired you to be more helpful, doing some shipments here and there, help with some paperwork, the usual

But recently, there's been a random spike of orders right after the extermination, not giving anyone a break.

And it's drowning the entire company into a work frenzy, and it feels like it's never going to end

After a couple weeks of this, it slowed down a little, not by much, but enough to have a little time to yourselves, including some time with your beautiful wife, Carmilla..

..who didn't even respond when you knocked on her office door. It's been like this for the past 2, nearly three weeks, what is going on??

The only times you two talk is when you're going to bed (if you're even awake when she does decide to get in your shared bed, or if she falls asleep at her desk for the hundredth time) or whenever you need her to sign off on certain orders here and there throughout the day

But after that.. nothing. She doesn't even message you throughout the day with random 'I love you's, 'I miss you', nothing. Just radio silence cough like Alastor cough

You messaged Odette and Clara, asking if they had spoken to her aside from work talks, and they said the exact same thing, nothing

However, they had actually tried talking to their mother, but she brushed them off, saying "I'm busy, go find something to do that isn't bothering me."

Now that really pissed you off. So, you did the sensible thing and marched over to her office, giving it a harsh knock.

"Carmilla, love? We need to talk. Now. I'm not taking no for an answer." It was short, but straight to the point. As much as you wanted to be gentle about this, you couldn't when she snapped at your sweet girls for just checking in on her

Nothing came from the other side of the door, which ticked you off more.

"Carmilla, this is serious. Open the door, we have to have a discussion about your working as of late."

Now that, got you a reaction. You heard a small thud, possibly slamming her pen down on her desk, then a rough "Come in" came from the other side

You immediately swung the door open, and slammed it behind you.

"What is up with you lately?? You haven't been talking to anyone, you refuse to take breaks, you snapped at our children for checking on you, and you don't want to talk about anything that isn't work related!"

"I don't even see you come to bed anymore BECAUSE you're so engrossed in your work. I get that it's been super busy lately, but that's no reason to-" Before you could finish your sentence Carmilla stood up and slammed her large hands against her desk

"I work this hard because I need to! I didn't ask for you to care about me, I thought I made it VERY clear that I didn't want to be bothered, but apparently you're too stubborn to see that." Her voice was cold, and her eyes were a sharp glare, much like the weapons she sold

"If you wish to continue and whine like a child then do it somewhere else, I don't need anymore distractions." Her words sunk into your heart like a blade, tears starting to prick your eyes

"C-Carmilla.. take it back." There was a waver in your voice, your eyebrows still angry, but pain and sorrow were evident in your eyes and words.

"Why should I? You've done nothing but bother me and keep me from my work."

"If you don't, then I'm going to leave. If you don't apologize by tonight then you won't see me tomorrow morning." A tear ran down your cheek, but you didn't look away from Carmilla, keeping a challenging glare in your eyes

"Go ahead, see if I care." She scoffed, then sat back down and continued with her paper work.

"Fine then." You stomped out of the room, slamming the office door as you went. The slam throbbed in Carmilla's head, but she took a small breath, then continued her work

Carmilla awoke with a yawn, her back hating her for her slumped position on her desk.

She noticed a blanket on her back, courtesy of her daughters. She felt.. guilty. After thinking about exactly why, she remembered how she snapped at her daughters then.. you. Calling you a distraction, a bother, whiney, all for asking what was wrong.

She was stressed, but that was no reason to treat you that way, you and your daughters.

She stood up, cleaning herself up before leaving her office, looking for Clara and Odette so she could apologize and ask where you were.

When she did, her eyes became misty, pulling in her sweet and kind girls into a heartwarming hug and whispering how sorry she was into their ears

They, of course, accepted the apology, also feeling misty eyed at how sentimental their mother was as of now

"Clara, Odette, where's mi vida? I need to apologize to them too. I said some things that need to be addressed."

The two girls both looked at each other, then Carmilla again, with a concerned look etched on their faces

"They.. uh, weren't here for breakfast, so maybe your bedroom?"

Carmilla nodded, then kissed them both on the forehead. "I'll go apologize and bring them down, then we can all have brunch together." The two girls nodded, and Carmilla made her way upstairs to find you

The only problem is.. is that you're not there. Some of your clothes, bathroom necessities, shoes, and even a couple of picture frames are gone

Carmilla was startled, then began searching for you, calling your name around your shared grand bedroom

It was when she walked close to her side of the bed when she saw a note (WE JUST GOT A LETTER) on her side of the bed

(I'm not in the mood to right a note, so sorry, but basically you need a break and you're staying with Rosie until you forgave Carmilla for being mean :(( )

Carmilla didn't even think before she was running out of her building, through her territory, and could see the beginnings of Cannibal town

Her lungs were screaming, but her heart was aching at the pain she caused you, making her continue to run until she saw Rosie's parlor

She bursted inside, panting as she stood in the doorway with many black and damn near soulless eyes with sharp teeth to match stared at her disheveled form

She didn't even get a word in before the crowd parted and revealed a tall, slender, and pale yet sophisticated woman, our darling Rosie has appeared!

And she was... not smiling.. oh boy

"Now you listen here young lady!" Rosie had started to sassily walk over to Carmilla, grabbing her ear (does she even have ears omfg, if she doesn't then pretend she grabs her cheek) and begins pulling her towards the back rooms of her parlor, scolding all along the way

"Don't you have some nerve showing up here after your spouse came here bawling their eyes out!" Carmilla felt like she should feel offended that Rosie was embarrassing her like this, but she couldn't after how she treated you.

Rosie finally let go of her, rubbing the pinched bit to relieve the stinging, then, she laid eyes on you

"Oh, mi corazón, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to treat you like that! You didn't deserve me snapping at you, I was stressed and took it out on you and our sweet girls. None of you deserved it, and I deeply apologize." She hung her head in shame, hoping you would accept her apology, so she could do more to show you how much she appreciated you.

She was already planning a nice dinner, several at home dates, and some family activities for you all to do together and bond again, as well as take a well deserved break from working.

She didn't look up until you hugged her, her arms quickly wrapping around you too

"You really need to work on this. What you said was hurtful, and I won't forget it. But I will forgive you, because I still love and care about you."

And that's all she needed to squeeze you tighter and murmur more apologies and thank you's, and even promises of taking breaks and not lashing out on others from stress. <3

Modern!Laios

So, the golden kingdom is sort of how the modern world would be like, everyone is in harmony, no deaths (except old age depending on species race??), everyone has phones, internet, no more dungeons

So modern, but with a touch of fantasy, kinda like Onwards! (Such a good movie go watch it rn)

And jobs are more modern now, like Laios is a sous chef in a well known underground restaurant that's owned by a dwarf named Senshi! Chilchuck is a lockpick, then Marcille is a teacher! Falin is doing some out of state studying, wanting to keep the art of magic alive, Shuro is a fencing teacher, and Nimari does construction!

But let's focus on the main 4 😋

Laios and Chilchuck met when Laios locked himself out of his shared house with Falin several times cause he left it at work, in his car (had to pick that too cause the doors locked on him) and so that developed a small friendship (not that Chilchuck would call it that) between the two

Marcille knew Falin while they were studying magic together (like in the anime but modern) and so Marcille met Laios through her

Before Falin went away to study abroad Marcille and Laios held a going away party for her and Laios invited Chilchuck, where he may Marcille and Falin (Nimari and Shuro were there too but I'll say how they met everyone in another modern post if someone wants 🫶)

Now back to the restaurant- Laios and Senshi works at (Senshi owns it btw) Laios had always been a good cook while growing up, also taking any and all cooking classes he could while in high school

And he was amazing at it!

So good that THE Senshi, owner of the famous underground restaurant that turned monsters into FOOD, groundbreaking isn't it?? Sent him an invitation to come WORK DIRECTLY UNDER HIM

Laios had always wanted to cook monsters, and after visiting the restaurant once or twice growing up?? HELL YEAH HE WANTED TO WORK FOR SENSHI

This all happened in the span of about 7 years I suppose?

Now, summer time ⛱️

Laios definitely invites everyone to go to the beach, even his sister when she comes to visit from her studies!

And while Senshi is hesitant in leaving his restaurant (he kinda.. lives there too.) to see the beach he caves and says yes, but refuses to wear swim trunks. He looks like a barbeque dad lmao, full on Hawaiian shirt and some tan shorts, and some sandals as he's making some summer themed monster food for everyone

Marcille is the one trying to get him to wear trunks, gives up, but wears a super cute 1 piece to make herself feel better

Chilchuck is kinda in the same boat as Senshi, but wears trunks and the Hawaiian shirt, but sheds it later to go play chicken with the twins and Marcille out in the ocean while they wait for the yummy food

Marcille and Falin are going against Laios and Chilchuck!

Who won?

Chilchuck very quickly got pushed into the water, damn near drowned cause he wasn't prepared to swim after being knocked off of Laios' shoulders by Marcille (who he was talking trash to)

But after he stopped dying and held less of a grudge with Marcille after she dried him off, Senshi finally finished the food!

It was some grilled kraken skewers with some veggies, each customized specifically to everyone :D

They all spend the rest of their time at the beach telling stories, enjoying the skewers, and having general fun lol

- Remember how she was panicking in episode 5 when extermination day was about a month away and stayed up all night?

- Yeah, she did something similar to that when it came to asking you out lmao

- She also ended up enlisting the help of Vaggie (Angel Dust joined in because he was getting a little aggravated with how much you two danced around with each other 😭)

- Vaggie and Angel both gave Charlie a very.. straight forward approach to confessing which she knew wouldn't work out in her or your favors, but kept their advice in mind

- The best helper of them all would be Husk (who else) who told her to just be as sweet as possible and to be both straightforward (like Vaggie and Angel said) but not enough to scare you

- She took his advice with great confidence, and finally did it.

- She's asking you out!

- She grabbed a plush of your favorite animal, and a singular flower, a Lilly of the Valley

- Why that one? Because it means hope. Hope that you return her feelings, hope that all goes right with your possible relationship, and hope that you both survive the upcoming extermination.

- With all of that in mind, she gives the items to you, her hands shaking, eyes shut, and the most furious blush upon her red spotted cheeks

- She explains when, how, and what caused her to fall for you, and why she's giving you this flower

- When she finally looks at you, the last thing she's expecting is to see tears brim your eyes, the slight shake in your body as you hold the stuffed animal and flower close to your body

- She nearly has a panic attack! She starts stumbling over her words, begging for you to not hate her, asking if you both could still be friends, not stopping her words until you suddenly lean forwards and hug her, tightly

- You silently whisper in her ear that you like her too, but haven't been in a relationship before, not that she didn't know that already. But you wanted to wait until after the extermination to really give it a try

- As saddened as she was hearing you wanted to wait after the extermination, where anything could happen, she would wait as long as you wanted her to

Vaggie

- Normally I wouldn't decide what the readers background is, but for Vaggie you both were great friends in heaven, you just not being an exterminator

- Instead, you decided to fall from grace as soon as you heard the reason why Vaggie never came back from that extermination..

- No one up in heaven had known what you were planning until it was already done

- Vaggie only knew what you did till she discovered you one day while out and about with Charlie, casually hanging out and discussing how to promote the hotel more

- She obviously asked what happened, and she fell for you once you explain your reasoning

- The many thoughts of how she would confess to you would run through her mind as you did something she found so cute subconsciously

- She was already friends with you in heaven, and knew your mannerisms like the back of her hand

- And the only thing she could think of was the classic "I like you, and want to take you on a date. [Yes] [No]"

- Why? Because it's simple, straight to the point, but also giving you space to decide what you want to do without the pressure of her being there

- She slips it under your bedroom door, knocks, then silently runs away

- She had to do something, ANYTHING to get her mind off of your response so she spent several hours working with Charlie discussing trust exercises

- It was the end of the day when she finally returned to her bedroom, she remembered the note as it sat on her bed, crisply folded. Just how she gave it to you

- That made her a little.. nervous, but she opened it..

- "I like you, and want to take you on a date. [Yes] [No]"

- Holy shit.. YOU SAID YES-

- Ahem, you said yes, and now she is taking you on a date. Where's Charlie-

- She needs to tell her bestest friend that she's going on a date with the most beautiful creature in all of hell

- She uh

- She's something ngl

- Velvette is very straightforward and brash person

- And we could tell that with the overlord meeting

- Let's say you work for her as an assistant or scheduler

- So you're always by her side, which means you spend a decent time around the other V's

- And as much as she enjoys the chaos those two bring, she gets fed up with it. ESPECIALLY Val's temper tantrums

- His tantrums include bursting into her workshop, ripping apart her models, her clothes, and just wrecking everything he declares in his way

- Unfortunately, you ended up being caught up in his tantrum. Good news, you didn't die. Bad news, your limbs were.. broken. Just a couple though, like an arm, several ribs, nose, all that jazz

- Velvette happened to hear the commotion and walked in, and saw him looming over you

- She felt her body freeze from your current state, how battered and bruised you were, your arm bending in an impossible direction, your labored breathing as you just clenched your eyes and accepted the fate Val was planning on handing to you..

- That is until Velvette fucking EXPLODES on Val, threatening to chop off his 🍆 if he didn't leave and calm tf down before she made him

- Everyone feels a chill run down their spine as she lets out more curses towards Val as she stomped towards you, demanding someone call a doctor (if they even have those in hell) and to fix everything or so help them-

- ..let's just say Val is more careful with his tantrums and everyone realized that Velvette is the scariest V when angry

- When you were finally bandaged up and resting in a bed she calmed down and really took a deep breath, and came to a realization

- She had never been that pissed that Valentino had nearly mutilated one of her employees.. what made you so different.?

- Then it hit her like a truck

- She liked you, and she didn't realize it until she almost lost you

- All of the times you did something so small for her, but it made a big difference to her was all she needed to know that you were meant for her, and that hopefully she was meant for you..

- The second you wake up you see Velvette, who lets out a sigh and gives you the softest look you have ever seen on her since you began working for the V's

- She slowly reached her hand forwards, cupped your cheek, and whispered how sorry she was for not being there to protect you

- Your cheek warmed up in her hand, not expecting the vulnerability she showed you, not to mention the worry and sorrow that covered her face

- Gently leaning into her touch, you tell her it's okay, and that you would be fine. You always were, weren't you?

- Chuckling, she shifts her face from sadness to a look of endearment. She had to confess now, otherwise she may lose her chance again

- Sighing softly, Velvette whispered her confession, of how much she adores you, appreciates your patience with her, how strong you were when it came to Valentino's rampage, and just you as a whole

- Velvette closed her eyes, halfway expecting rejection, but only opens her eyes again when she feels something wet run down her hand, the hand still on your cheek that's now very, very warm

- As she opens her eyes, she's met with a teary eyed you, cheeks ablaze with a blush so fierce

- You muttered something so softly she almost didn't catch it, almost. "I-I.. feel the same way, Velvette.."

- Carmilla didn't even think much of you at first, and almost refused your offer, but didn't see the harm

- Her plan being that she will invite you to a "meeting" in a very nice restaurant

- She dresses up even, with her daughters assistance who are very much on board with you hopefully being their 2nd parent, and gets a private room for the both of you

- In that private room, as you both eat your meals, she confesses

- She tells you how much she appreciates you, and how you protect her daughters with your life, how sweet you are, how loyal, how brave you are

- She tells you that and more, including how and why she fell for you, hoping silently that you felt the same so this dinner didn't become incredibly awkward

- She looks everywhere but at you as she tells you these things, too nervous to look you in the eyes, but when she finishes and she's left in silence she finally does

- And all she can see is how flushed your face became, how you're looking down at your lap with the dopiest grin stretching across your face

- Then you mumble something, she doesn't hear it the first time so she leans in, silently asking for you to say it again

- "I-I.. I fell for you t-too, Carmilla.."

- Her heart does a flip, several, actually

- Her face flushes slightly, her larger hand reaching across the table to lift your face up, softly stroking your cheek

- "Words could never express how happy that makes me, mi amor.."
