• So Barbatos is usually kept pretty busy, but on his days off boy knows how to treat you! He’ll usually suggest you just stay in and watch a crappy rerun of some soap opera and criticise the characters life choices, and eventually order take away. He cooks most other days, whether for you or for Diavolo, so it’s nice to just spend time with you without having to put on the front of the loyal butler.

 • That being said, he will 10/10 enjoy baking with you- especially if you have any prior experience. He likes sharing his hobbies with you, and appreciates it a lot when you do the same. He thinks that open communication is really important in a relationship! That’s why he always asks you what seems like off topic questions “MC, what’s your favourite show/book/movie etc?”. Ask him, or better yet, remember that obscure indie horror movie he likes and he will be head over heels

• He loves it when you guys can just cuddle up and share each others company. I lowkey think he’d be the type to like big band swing music, and he’d definitely just like to sit with you sipping some wine, spilling the tea or just talking about how your collective day went

• If you need comfort he’s an A+ listener and will give you advice if he thinks you want it, but if you just want to vent he’s happy to just sit and listen to all your woes while he rubs small circles on your back, or presses small kisses to your cheek.

• He may not be huge on PDA in front of others (he does have quite the reputation to uphold), he still like to have a hand on you at all times, whether it be on the small of your back, or lightly grazing your shoulder. It’s not necessarily a possessive thing, more that he wants you to know that he’s still there with you and he’s protecting you.

• Boi really is soft for you, Diavolo likes to tease him about it (especially in front of you), he just finds it nice that the stoic demon now seems to have a much softer and gentler side to him. If he ever has a stressful day, or starts to get fed up with something, he usually doesn’t say much, until you two are cuddled on the couch and then he’ll just go off on one. It’s usually very calm, but he’s still clearly upset. Pet his hair, or let him play with your fingers and he’ll eventually sigh and just snuggle into your shoulder, not mentioning until the morning when he’ll make a joke about it.

The crooning voice of Kitty Kallen wafts through the air as you Barbatos slowly circle the room, half slow dancing, half just hugging. You’d had a hard day at RAD and were feeling a little overwhelmed at the enormity of the workload thrust on you, as well as your unspoken job of keeping all the brothers in check. But every time the music flared a little, and you felt his chest rise an fall you felt a little better, eventually dropping your shoulders completely and leaning your head against his chest.

Softly, he places a kiss to your head as the band blares in the background, the smell of the little vanilla candles you had gotten him on a majolish trip with Asmo grow stronger as the pair of you move closer to that side of the room. You sigh, content as he places a reassuring hand on your back, humming along quietly.

Shy as ever, you gently raise your head, and he looks down at you for a second, questioning with his eyes if you need something. You smile and lean up to kiss him gently, chest tightening when he places a hand on your cheek, deepening the kiss. You part, and smile at each other.

1950′s Husband America Headcanons:

Alfred would definitely go “steady” with his S/O before proposing. Alfred is a gentleman, he wants to take his time and get to know his partner and enjoy every moment before proposing to them. 

He would most likely give his S/O a token to prove his devotion to them by giving them his class ring or letterman jacket. Anything really, just to show that he cares and wants a future with them.

While going steady, Alfred loves to take his S/O on various dates - especially going to the movies. This is where Alfred became a life-long Disney fan, when he took his S/O to see Cinderella for the very first time.

He is also a fan of other dates, such as taking them bowling. Although Alfred did not catch the hang of it at first - he enjoys the overall experience then take them to an ice-cream parlor. 

This is also the time Alfred became a fan of fast food. During this time, more food joints were opening up - Especially his favorite, McDonald’s. He always orders the same meal. It will be up to his S/O to help his eating habits. However, nothing beats a home made meal in his eyes! 

Alfred is an excellent dancer! He would love to take his S/O to local dance halls, enjoying the loud music and intimacy of dancing with his partner. 

If his S/O does not know how to dance, that is okay! He will simply place his hands on their hips and sway with them slowly, he really enjoys the closeness and tells them how much they mean to him.

During the mid 1950s, the Civil Rights Movement was becoming increasingly known. Alfred would be among those who attended the protests and would be all for desegregation of schools and the public.

If his S/O so happened to be impacted by segregation, this is something that Alfred will fight for. He loves his S/O - no matter what color, and is not afraid to love them openly during this era.

This marriage would consist of schedules and routines. The both of them would know each others habits and quirks, and would also be adjusting around each others busy work schedules.

While Alfred showers in the morning, His betrothed may be cooking breakfast. Also in the evening Alfred would make sure to do the laundry for his s/o so they can relax after work.

Alfred most likely married his S/O at a very young age, which was very common in relationships at the time. However, Alfred is not the type to jump into a relationship for the sake of the “postwar booms”. 

Speaking of booms, It is likely that Alfred would want to wait for a child. Although he loves his betrothed dearly, he does not want to have a child for the sake of postwar celebration and to stay in the mainstream of events. However, he does fantasize about the All-American dream of having a family with a loving partner.

This couple is the type to be invited to parties or small get togethers, but would later on decide that they would much rather stay home and watch I Love Lucy on TV and cook dinner together.

However, when they do decide to go out together Alfred always has to keep an arm around you or holding hands. He prefers to be touching you somewhere so he can show off his betrothed. During this time, PDA has become increasingly normalized and he is more than glad to sneak a few heated kisses and light petting. 

At this time, Alfred would love to spend time with his S/O with his so called,“at home dates”. He enjoys playing soft music in the kitchen while washing dishes with his S/O, simply swaying with each other. This is also the time Alfred has become a lover of Elvis Presley and Bobby Darin.

Alfred has a dedicated playlist of love songs that he holds to his heart when he thinks of his S/O. Such as “Dream Lover”, by Bobby Darin. It is most likely a list of songs played at their wedding.

The marriage is also a goofy one - Alfred loves to cut up and joke with his betrothed because he honestly loves the sound of their laugh, especially when he is the cause of that laugh. He would do anything for them!

A lot of banter or small squabbles would happen between them, but nothing serious! Sometimes he may say their nagging is annoying but really just smirks because of how adorable he thinks they are when they get so worked up over things they are passionate about.

He often catches himself just staring at his betrothed, even when they are doing just the simplest things like cleaning or cooking with no effort in their appearance. His s/o had never looked more beautiful to him than they do when they let only him see this relaxed side of them

He does not realize just how deeply in love with them when he catches himself just thinking about them constantly. He will also brag and talk about his s/o all the time, often to the point of annoying his friends/coworkers. However they are also happy Alfred has found someone that he cares about so much that makes him happy.
