Okay, this is probably so random but how do I change the color of my texts on Tumblr 😭💀

idk if you've found your answer already but here is my answer! this only works on desktop or by logging into tumblr on your phone browser, like safari.

im assuming you mean like custom colors. if not, you just double tap or double click your text and either some default colors or a paint bucket will show up.

go to this site, type in whatever you want, then change the color.

next, press "get code." then, press "copy to clipboard."

go back onto your tumblr post editor and click on the settings symbol on the top right. scroll until you find "text editor." click on the drop down menu and select HTML.

now you paste the code that you just copied. to see your text normally, you just switch it back to Rich Text. tumblr says switching back and forth may break formatting, but i do it all the time so it's fine.

i’ve seen a lot of jjk fanfic writers struggle in this community because of you. your passive aggressive demands, your backhanded compliments that that truly become a twisted and polite manner to ask writers to update. do you think the only job they’ve is to update your lovely fics?

you expressing your disappointment with what a writer writes and then following it up with words of appreciation is neither needed nor appropriate. do you really think you expressing how do not like a certain aspect of the story will make writers feel good about it? let me be honest with you: people end up losing motivation to write and the only ones responsible are you readers and not a single soul other than you. let’s say they end aspects of their plot, is that their story or your? for people who have no idea what writers have planned, you guys sure do yap a lot. i cannot fathom how you end up liking plots that you force writers to deviate to. use your imagination and write your own continuation of the fics in the direction you want it to go rather than pestering writers to change their fics for you.

you are not paying them, you have absolutely zero right to feel (let alone express) disappointment. you wanna express disappointment? you commission a work. without paying for it, please don’t make writers feel bad about disappointing you.

most of yall aren’t providing constructive criticism, it’s blatant hate you’re showing them. kindly stop it, or find another fic that heeds to your desires.
