You’d never noticed it before, but Soobin’s skin was soft—softer than anything else you’d touched. Sure, you had pinched his cheeks or playfully swatted them, but you’d never had the opportunity to touch and caress them like you were now.

Soobin cleared his throat. “Are you almost done? I really want to see what I look like.”

Without realising, your eyes had flitted to his lips the second he’d started talking; they were plump and red, stained with the colour of the lip tint you’d applied moments prior. It took a lot for you to pull your eyes from them.

“Uh, almost. ‘Just checking that your base is perfect.” The lie slipped past your lips easily. You’d finished the second you’d applied the lip tint. You just wanted a few more moments to look at Soobin’s face up close and cup his face, even pretend you two were something more than what you currently were—friends.

You cupped his face with one hand, angling it towards you as he peered at you through his lashes. He leaned into your touch, a slow smile pulling at the corner of his lips, and you had to stop yourself from leaning in and planting a kiss on his lips.

Butterflies in your stomach and your heart pounding out of your chest, you smiled and uttered, “All done. You look so pretty.”

He smiled and cupped your face in one, swift movement. Your heart skipped a beat. “Not as pretty as you do.”

Your heart stopped. Choi Soobin would be the death of you.

 welcome ! this is a halloween & fantasy collab co-hosted by athena, @soobisms​ and rin, @karsohn​!! :)

| theme :: fractured fairytales and horror. endings do not always end with “always and forever” and most definitely not without at least any kind of dark truth. take your favourite fairytale, tall story, or fable and twist it into a tale you’d never want to listen to as a bedtime story. it can either be the full story’s plot or a key scene from the tale! ✧

 — RULES & GUIDELINES!

1. this collab is open for enhypen, nct dream, and txt writers on a first-come, first-serve basis (there are 17 slots available as we’re both participating). at first, each writer will only be allowed a slot each so as many people as possible can apply, but if there are still free slots after some time, you can choose to write for a second idol!

2. this goes without saying, but plagiarism is not allowed at all. if you take any inspiration from any other works of media, beside the fairytale you choose to use, you must credit it/them for inspiration. if you need any clarification on how we want you to credit, please message us.

additionally, if it comes to our attention that any writer part of this collab has plagiarised in the past/is plagiarising, they will be promptly removed from the collab.

3. only member x reader or member x oc pairings are allowed.

fem!reader, gn!reader, & masc!reader are all welcome! for any other specified reader (black!reader, south asian!reader, etc), please DM either of the hosts for further clarification.

for member x reader pairings, please ensure your reader is as inclusive as possible! avoid specifying features/actions that may not apply to everyone, unless it is specific to the reader your work specifies. here is an inclusion guide, in case any further clarification is needed!

4. your work must be a oneshot and have a minimum word count of 1.5k words. if you need help reaching the minimum, you can reach out to anyone in the collab (preferably, in the discord server) to ask for help :)

5. smut/explicit nsfw works are strictly prohibited. we’ve decided to allow non-explicit suggestive content, though it’s still not preferred. (however, enha’s sunoo, jungwon, ni-ki, and dream’s jisung are strictly off-limits for this!) additionally, only 16+ writers are allowed to write suggestive content.

if you need clarification on what we consider explicit content, feel free to reach out to us (preferably, in the discord server) to ask!

6. as this is a halloween collab, the deadline is october 31st, 2022 and the final drop-out date is september 30th, 2022. your work may be posted at any time between the final drop-out date and the deadline.

however, if for any urgent reason(s), you cannot meet the deadline but don’t wish to drop out of the collab, please reach out to either of the hosts ASAP, so we’re informed & can work something out with you! :)

7. since there will be horror themes, as well as potential other graphic details in your works, please make sure to disclaim ALL warnings at the start of your piece.

additionally, all information regarding your work (pairing(s), genre(s), warning(s), summary/synopsis, & word count) must be at the start of your work & a read more should be placed after (no more than) 500 words.

8. you must also be at least 14 years of age to join the collab due to said themes.

we don’t really expect this to happen honestly, but please do not lie about your age just to join the collab :)

additionally, you must be, at least, 14 at the time of applying, so if you’re currently 13 but you’ll be 14 before the deadline, please wait until you’ve turned 14 to apply!

death valley — jay park (teaser)

synopsis. death valley—the heart of southern Seoul’s street racing scene. it’s filled to the brim with drug dealings, murder, and very, very hot people. at least, that’s all what you’d thought, until you’d stumbled across the valley yourself one friday afternoon. that day, filled with anticipation and fear, a certain biker named Jay—and his trailing crew—taught you that death valley wasn’t as half bad as you’d initially thought.

IX – Expensive and Illegal

From all you’d seen of him, you had expected Park Jonseong to be a cocky biker with an ego larger than life, but he was nothing like that at all. You hadn’t been talking to him for long—the distance between the tracks and the car section of the Death Valley Garage wasn’t much—but you were already learning more about him. He was a second-year business management major at Suwon National as well, who had moved from Washington, USA for university. One thing had led to another and here he was now, the ace of a decently popular illegal biking ring. His softer, mellower personality—at least, compared to everyone else you’d met so far—was the complete contrast of what anyone would picture from that description, but somehow it fit him. The only part of his personality that fit the cocky biker image you had of him in your head was his tendency to crack flirty, but still bashfully ‘Jay’ jokes.

And that was all he was doing now. He was leading you through a separate part of Death Valley Garage, lined with cars you weren’t sure were legal, and cracking jokes all the while. Most of them were lame and cornier than anything, but seeing him smile was something you found yourself enjoying more and more.

Jay smiled particularly wide as he made his way to a sleek, grey car with a smooth and modern design. He patted the hood of the car gently, a fond look in his eyes, before looking back up at you. “Here’s our ride for the night.”

“Wow, it looks…” you trailed off, fully taking in the car.

It looked brand new and spotless, the top coat of paint still fresh and untouched by anything. The moon’s rays reflected off the shiny, glossy grey covering most of the car’s body, complimenting its cool hue. From where you were standing, you could see a few details Jay had probably added—a thin, black line tracing the edges of the car, a custom-made licence plate printed with his name, and a tiny print of something you couldn’t see along the inner border of the hood.

It screamed many things at you, but it mainly screamed two things. You spared Jay a glance. “It looks expensive and illegal.”
