Thanks, everyone, for your support for the past year and a half! It’s been a wild ride!
At this point, I’m not sure what the fate of this blog will be. I’m still disillusioned by Homestuck’s finale, although I realize an epilogue is in the works. I might do some character analyses, non-predictive theory posts, classpect stuff, or other posts, but we’ll see. I do still have some asks I need to answer. (Thanks for your patience on those.) I’m considering adding in some non-Homestuck content, perhaps applying classpect analyses to characters from other works, to keep it tied to HS.
At some point, I intend to read Problem Sleuth. (I know, I know, I’m behind. XP ) Maybe I could comment on that and sort of... pseudo-live blog as I go? I’d also like to re-read Homestuck now that it’s “finished”, and see if I can glean anything new. (Plus I want to make note of what’s been left unresolved.)
What would you guys like me to do? What content are you interested in seeing on this blog?

Something I find interesting is how so many of my most popular posts involve “shipping” observation/speculation of some sort. I’m not sure if that’s a testament to the fandom (most likely) or to me being a Blood player (possibly) or both, but it amuses me.
In the past year, Homestuck has ended and the credits have rolled. Now we have Hiveswap coming soon and a possible epilogue to look forward to. Hopefully both will provide answers to many important questions that still remain.

About a year ago he stopped texting me, after months of one-sided harassment.
Today I am all fucked up about it. Today I am stressed and restless and hurt and angry and sad and mourning my past and what I thought I had.
And I don’t know how to explain any of it.
Missed Milestones
It may be a sign that I’m making progress, but I missed remembering some important milestones this year:
It’s been 210 weeks since I spoke my last words to him (that’s 4 full years and 2 weeks if you don’t want to count).
It’s been 314 weeks (6 years, 2 weeks) since I lived under the same roof as him.
I’ll be 36 this week. And while my body is feeling its age (and more) at times, my mind feels younger than it ever did when I was in my 20s.
“Brush ba o gitara?”
I remember a few months back I blogged about this healthy confusion. Although, just this month I am able to do both at the same time, literally. Which brought an incredible fulfillment, ladies and gents.
• LEGACY
I got an invite from my colleagues if I’m ok with the idea of joining their group exhibit in Baguio. Frankly, I had doubts bc it’s my first and I haven’t had the guts to put myself or my works out there (in terms of art & music) in a serious manner. Yet again, I knew I had to this time just for the heck of being able to achieve something I can proudly look back on to.
It took me almost a month to finish all three paintings and it’s currently exhibited inside Baguio Museum ‘til the end of this month. (Not sure yet tho, heard that it’s going to be relocated in a new gallery wc is good) It’s on sale btw and once sold, 10% of it will be donated directly to an orphanage in the vicinity.
• STORY?
I don’t want to state what’s the meaning of my works. I kind of like the idea wherein people would create stories inside their head while looking, understand it by themselves or be enchanted by the combination of its color alone since mine has a touch of surrealism. It’s all about the impact anyway and you can’t force that on people, you let them feel things silently. Anyway, since t'was a challenge for me to do both but I took it anyway so I wrote a song in each painting according to my given title which I’d prolly post next? And yep, I deliberately had to put myself on the right zone everytime I was holding my paintbrush and what’s on my painting is how I felt alone. Most likely, it’s all captured thoughts on canvas.
• MUSIC?
I got to sing during the opening! I sang the national anthem (!!!!!!!) which brought me anxiety more than any cover I’ve ever done??? Hah, but it went fine I guess. Then, I sang Sampaguita’s song “Tao” that according to most audience that day, it was heartfelt. That song always moves me in a different level honestly, it’s one of my faves. Anyhow, cheers to more of art exposures and extra music gigs. This is not the end, I hope.

To say your best friend’s wedding had been a minor hitch from blowing up into a full-on disaster would be an understatement. The band had cancelled last-minute—as in, the-day-before-the-wedding last minute—and you’d barely managed to find another one to replace them, the catering service you ordered ran late due to traffic piling up near the venue, and, of course, the sunny day by the beach you’d envisioned for the reception was now an overcast, rainy day. And, as her wedding planner, all the chaos left you with more adrenaline running in your veins than needed.
Wiping away at the droplet running down your face, you let out a deep sigh at the sight of your best friend dancing happily with her newly-wedded wife.
Had the wedding almost snowballed into a huge disaster? Yes, most definitely. But, was your best friend happy? Also, yes. So, you were happy too.
Well, kind of.
Though she, her wife, and many of the guests didn’t mind the light drizzle on the beach, you’d forgotten to check the weather forecast this morning, leaving you shivering under the rain’s merciless downpour without anything to cover you. Focusing on your best friend’s bright smile, stretching widely in the direction of her lover, could only do so much. It warmed your heart and made a smile light up your face, but you could still feel the cold spreading throughout your body.
You sighed again, imagining you could see your breath in the air, and wrapped your arms around your torso.
“Need someone to warm you up?” asked a smooth, deep voice, shocking you in more ways than one.

IX – Expensive and Illegal
From all you’d seen of him, you had expected Park Jonseong to be a cocky biker with an ego larger than life, but he was nothing like that at all. You hadn’t been talking to him for long—the distance between the tracks and the car section of the Death Valley Garage wasn’t much—but you were already learning more about him. He was a second-year business management major at Suwon National as well, who had moved from Washington, USA for university. One thing had led to another and here he was now, the ace of a decently popular illegal biking ring. His softer, mellower personality—at least, compared to everyone else you’d met so far—was the complete contrast of what anyone would picture from that description, but somehow it fit him. The only part of his personality that fit the cocky biker image you had of him in your head was his tendency to crack flirty, but still bashfully ‘Jay’ jokes.
And that was all he was doing now. He was leading you through a separate part of Death Valley Garage, lined with cars you weren’t sure were legal, and cracking jokes all the while. Most of them were lame and cornier than anything, but seeing him smile was something you found yourself enjoying more and more.
Jay smiled particularly wide as he made his way to a sleek, grey car with a smooth and modern design. He patted the hood of the car gently, a fond look in his eyes, before looking back up at you. “Here’s our ride for the night.”
“Wow, it looks…” you trailed off, fully taking in the car.
It looked brand new and spotless, the top coat of paint still fresh and untouched by anything. The moon’s rays reflected off the shiny, glossy grey covering most of the car’s body, complimenting its cool hue. From where you were standing, you could see a few details Jay had probably added—a thin, black line tracing the edges of the car, a custom-made licence plate printed with his name, and a tiny print of something you couldn’t see along the inner border of the hood.
It screamed many things at you, but it mainly screamed two things. You spared Jay a glance. “It looks expensive and illegal.”

Death Valley was the heart and soul of southern Seoul’s racing scene.
Every Saturday night, there were two main races held there. One held for the bikers and the other held for the drivers. Usually, people attended the bikers’ race. It was cheaper to bet on a biker, there was less exhaust in the air to tire out everyone’s lungs, and its tracks were only a walking distance from the abandoned subway station—which just so happened to be the best hiding location in case the police caught wind of a night’s events. Those who managed to get past the fear of being arrested and crossed the kilometres to the racers’ track either never returned to the bikers’ track or came back but never spoke of what they’d seen. Also, the cars apparently carried cocaine, and the drivers would kill without a second thought if someone tried to steal some.
At least, that’s what you’d heard when you’d moved to Seoul.
Lee Heeseung, the cute little brunet who’d been showing you around your university, had made sure to let you know of the famous valley. His eyes had been wide, and he’d been making crazy hand gestures, but you’d still got the point.
Death Valley bad.
So, why on Earth were you in the infamous valley? That’s what you’d been wondering for the past couple of minutes, on a good ol’ Friday afternoon.

You’d never noticed it before, but Soobin’s skin was soft—softer than anything else you’d touched. Sure, you had pinched his cheeks or playfully swatted them, but you’d never had the opportunity to touch and caress them like you were now.
Soobin cleared his throat. “Are you almost done? I really want to see what I look like.”
Without realising, your eyes had flitted to his lips the second he’d started talking; they were plump and red, stained with the colour of the lip tint you’d applied moments prior. It took a lot for you to pull your eyes from them.
“Uh, almost. ‘Just checking that your base is perfect.” The lie slipped past your lips easily. You’d finished the second you’d applied the lip tint. You just wanted a few more moments to look at Soobin’s face up close and cup his face, even pretend you two were something more than what you currently were—friends.
You cupped his face with one hand, angling it towards you as he peered at you through his lashes. He leaned into your touch, a slow smile pulling at the corner of his lips, and you had to stop yourself from leaning in and planting a kiss on his lips.
Butterflies in your stomach and your heart pounding out of your chest, you smiled and uttered, “All done. You look so pretty.”
He smiled and cupped your face in one, swift movement. Your heart skipped a beat. “Not as pretty as you do.”
Your heart stopped. Choi Soobin would be the death of you.
