No one leaves comments on Ao3 anymore.

Seriously people the lack of fandom interaction these days makes me genuinely depressed, it never used to be like this, makes me wonder what's the point of coming online to do anything anymore.

Reblog a post so other people can see it.

Leave a comment so the author doesn't feel like giving up.

Fandom cannot live on Likes or Kudos alone.

Whumpees with pneumonia. Whumpees bedbound, wheezing, drifting in and out of consciousness because they're so exhausted, having to be propped up every so often by Caretaker when they inevitably fall asleep and sink downwards. The fevers that grip them through the night, that sap them of so much energy that even breathing becomes a Herculean labour.

When they cough, their chest hurts so badly, and they're delirious enough that they don't understand it's better for them to cough it up. Caretaker has to slide in behind them, one hand on their chest, the other on their back, rubbing and coaxing until the coughing becomes productive and Whumpee brings up a small amount of phlegm onto a tissue that Caretaker holds up for them.

"Good job, Whumpee." Caretaker whispers, brushing back the sweat-damp hair from their forehead. "You're doing so well."

All Whumpee can do is groan miserably, too tired to even cry.

A spoon's only objective in life is to make soup go upwards, and it knows this. That's why when you put one under a running tap it blasts the water way high. The spoon thinks there's suddenly TONS of soup to deal with and it freaks out.

I must not mock Gen Alpha. Mocking Gen Alpha is the mind killer. Mocking Gen Alpha is the little-death that brings total generational solidarity obliteration. I will engage with Gen Alpha lovingly. I will permit them to be cringe. And when they grow up I will turn my eye to their accomplishments. Where mocking has gone there will be nothing. Only generational solidarity remains
