diane - japanese and russian ! 🇯🇵 🇷🇺 russian and japanese , they traveled to japan canonically , so i thought making her asian was such a good hc for her ! her family lives in japan :) japanese use these things called “omamori” its a amulet or a goodluck charm that wards away evil. she gives one to aaron and mya and puts it on their bags when they go to school , as u can guess to protect them from the bad luck in the town , [they are red as japanese have believed since ancient times that the colour red denotes power of the sun and that of blood - the power to protect humans from evil and harm.] she also gave one to ted , he wears it almost all the time , especially when he dosent spend much time around his family. the time diane died in the car crash , they both forgot their omamoris at home. Diane apparently watches volleyball on TV !! so my hc was that she showed mya volleyball and she ended up LOVING it , also because volleyball was a very popular sport in asian continents! she would always ALWAYS be caught up with the teams and knew every single team members names 😭 aaron also came to love it after mya forced him to play volleyball with him :) eventually both became such big volleyball lovers that in school , they joined a team shes a STRONG asian mum too , shoes in the house? hell no. (experienced.. , im asian :) )

theadore (same for lisa peterson as well): mexican 🇲🇽 loves to teach spanish to aaron and mya , he wasn’t a good cook but when it came to certain mexican dishes, it was so good.
nicky: turkish and polish 🇹🇷 🇵🇱 when he came to raven brooks him and aaron shared a bunch of turkish and japanese/russian snacks with one another and it was so much fun for them , diane has a STASH of japanese and russian snacks her parents got her so always gives one or 2 to nicky when he comes over !! also hes meant to be polish apparently so im not sure on the current lore at all
