I really wonder what kind of people Fleamont and Euphemia Potter were because James gives such Dudley Dursley vibes.
The thing is, I can kinda understand why Remus and Sirius behaved as they did as part of the Marauders. Remus wasn't going to turn against his only supportive friend group, even when it was his duty to. And Sirius came from a completely toxic, possible abusive, family that was made up of Slytherins, so he took his anger out on another Slytherin. But James? The boy with all the privileges; the spoiled son of doting parents, financially stable, socially well placed, tight friend group. Who targeted an abused, poverty stricken, socially disadvantaged boy because he existed. James had no reason to behave as he did, other than the fact he was a spoiled brat who had never been told "no" in his life. James Potter is just an athletic variant of Dudley Dursley. Only difference is, Dudley matured and realised he was wrong.
snape teacher headcanon
Okay so Snape was a pretty spiteful, sarcastic teacher, and he did do everything in his power to be seen as harsh and unforgiving by his students. But I headcanon the one thing that he didn't do was not let students go to the bathroom if they asked.
I think that snape understood that brewing a potion while distracted was a recipe for disaster, and he really would rather not have any of his students die because he didn't let them go.
I also think that he learned his lesson after blowing up a few cauldrons when he was younger, when he needed to go during class, but was too embarrassed to ask in front of james and co.
It's not that he was trying to be seen as a good teacher at all, but just out of practicality.
Snaters and marauders fans can say what they want. But you cannot tell me the idea of Sev and James in the afterlife hearing Harry name his son Albus Severus Potter wouldn't be one of the most hilarious moments in history.
Headcanon
Severus Snape used his own spell (sectumsembra) to try to commit suicide when remembering how he gave the prophecy to the Potters, I base this mainly on the fact that Severus mentions to Albus that he wants to be dead, Albus mentions that it would be useless, if he did. I think Severus's life is more tragic.
i like that regulus signed his little horcrux note with R.A.B and not his name meaning that he just assumes voldy will know exactly who he is
