The results of this poll are in, and now I present my half-baked Monkie Kid AU 👍

This AU is called The King’s Sins

content warning: the character designs involve body horror and minor disturbing imagery. Do not scroll further if you are sensitive to such things.

The idea, or “premise”, of the AU was simply based on this concept I had and it’s basically: What if whoever Wukong has upset or hurt in some way, they become incredibly wrathful and turn into a monster? The idea was inspired by the whole concept of “running away/being haunted by the past”

PLOT: My idea is that the plot follows similarly to how the actual show goes, but by season 3 shit goes crazy. I don’t have an actual plot to jot down, but maybe that’ll change soon??

And now for the part everyone might’ve been waiting for: The Character Designs. I only have one finished idea, one almost done and concept art for one. Also be warned this is older art 😭

So first one up is Macaque. He was the first character I started designing for the AU, and I’ve almost finished all designs I wanted to make for him. Also the first ref sheet looks different in terms of style because I drew it on my phone

Next up was Mei, which is still in the concept art phase. I also was experimenting a lot here so bear with me.

And finally this was MK’s design. I actually finished this one a while ago, though I still have to make his war form.

That’s unfortunately all I have now, but if this post somehow blows tf up I may just post more. (and maybe post fics on AO3-)
