And that’s not entirely the fandom’s fault either, Yuma has some scenes with other characters that can be viewed as suggestive, especially with Shinigami. But, just because the culture is different and such, doesn’t make it right. I don’t agree with sh*ta / l*li bait, and Kodaka has done this a few times with his games - a good amount of Japanese creators have. A friend of mine once said there is no supply without demand, and I feel like the issue is that there even is a demand for that kind of stuff, especially as a person who looks young and is viewed in perverse ways for being young. 🤠✨🥂

It’s what bothers me the most as of right now, because it’s kind of a dicey territory when you really look at it. I had a full blown discussion with a few friends about this as well, and I understand that I don’t see eye to eye with everyone about this, but I wish we did know, because Yuma Shipping Discourse is bothersome, in my opinion, and given that there is a lot of s*xualization of minors in Japan and Japanese Media is what I think makes the whole lack of clarification to be a very thin line between being okay and being uncomfortable / creepy. The whole thing gives me the ick and my thing is, I don’t care if I’m disagreeing with people, we’re bound to not agree on somethings, but I feel like this is an issue where us, among the community, should agree to disagree, because I don’t feel like arguing a point that people don’t want to agree with me on, if that makes sense ? Anyways, I just view Yuma as a gifted burnout teenager and will leave it at that, and there isn’t any reason to argue with me over it because I am not willing to compromise until it is canonically revealed with proof.

if anyone ever asks me about my OCs for both Danganronpa or Rain Code, you are in for a fucking infodump. 🥰✨🥂

The reason I believe characters like Fubuki and Desuhiko are older than Yuma and Kurumi are because of their interactions with Yuma ( they treat him like he’s younger than them, mainly Desuhiko, having the more brotherly interactions / attempting to be the cool older brother interactions ), and Fubuki’s proportions are absolutely more womanly than Kurumi’s, who’s canonically a teenager. So given Yuma’s proportions and the interactions he has with the other Master Detectives really just reads as “ young and burnt out gifted teen who has a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders “.

Also, I’ve heard the argument that Yakou invites Yuma out for drinks and Yuma doesn’t really protest, but what teenager would, seriously ? And we all know Yakou’s not exactly responsible either, so I’m not really surprised at the notion he’d offer Yuma alcohol, especially because I don’t think Yakou has lots of experience with people Yuma’s age, it wasn’t like he had kids of his own. 🤷🏻🥂

✨ ClockBolt Proposal Headcannons !! ✨

✨ Desuhiko really thought he had it figured out, like really did, he planned shockingly well, actually. He was gonna ask Fubuki on a date to the cafe, and the ring was gonna be plated with a pretty dessert. There was nothing that could go wrong in his mind. He went to the cafe, made reservations, and requested the proposal plate.

✨ Fubuki, however, had been planning on proposing for awhile, she was getting a little tired at the feeling that he was never going to, and girl has always wanted to get married, so much like the beginning of their relationship, she figured she might as well make the first move . . . she just had to remember where she put the ring first.

✨ Desuhiko was confident everything would work out, listening to music to amp himself up, having an entire getting ready montage with himself in a mirror. He was going to do this with as much swagger and confidence as he could muster, because there was no doubt in his mind that she was gonna say yes.

✨ Meanwhile, Fubuki is panicking, tearing her room apart trying to find where she put the ring, all while also trying to get ready. Among the commotion, Halara stops by to see what’s going on, the walls aren’t very thick. Fubuki is in tears because she can’t find it, and she can’t propose without a ring !! Who does that ??

✨ Luckily, Halara reminds her that she asked them to hold onto it until the timing was right, so Halara took a quick trip back to their room and brought it back to Fubuki, and just in time because Desuhiko was ready to pick her up and head to the cafe.

✨ He’s a bit too oblivious to realize that she’s so worked up, and she is trying hard, and failing miserably at masking how she feels.

✨ They eventually get to the cafe, and she can’t really hold it all in anymore. She swoops out of her seat, gets on her knee and blurts the question out. She is so anxious about his answer, she’s heard that people have said no to proposals before. What if he says no ??

✨ His response of “ Are you serious ?? “ wasn’t too reassuring either.

✨ But he asks the waiter to bring out dessert, before showing her that he had the exact same idea in mind. It takes her a minute to realize that he was having the same idea as her through her flusteredness, but when she realizes that he’s proposing to her as well, she starts laughing, tears rolling down her blushed face.

✨ He laughs too, a lot.

✨ At least they were on the same page. 💕
