Asha’s backstory?

So I've decided to make Adrian's final design a fox demon! Kinda got the idea because of a mix of being annoyed at the lore not feeling good enough in terms of it's relation to Adrian's demon appearance and finding the inspo in another oc that I've found who I'm obsessed with rn called Nore (creator being @beazzlebug add me please i feel the strong urge to vent about hazbin ocs 😂). I did a LOT of brainstorming after a moment of "why isn't the lore loring". I eventually came to the conclusion that Adrian being based off a fox in the afterlife fits his life and death better than being an owl.

It fits with his life because he was (and still is) a con artist. He's cunning, silver-tongued and mischievous. All of which are traits traditionally linked to foxes. Building on that, it links to his death due to how and why he was killed. He was (like Nore but I didn't know she existed at the time lmao) shot in the chest. The shooting was an act of revenge when Adrian's unchecked ambition and greed (hamartia or fatal flaw to my fellow nerds out there) finally caught up with him and he was finally caught. He was essentially hunted down, shot and left to die...like a fox hunted for sport.

Side note but red foxes look more orange and Adrian was a ginger in his human life lmao

I know it's been a while since you've heard of Adrian since I've been throwing Asha content at you all but that's because I've been refining Adrian's design and character and Asha has been gaining a lot more engagement recently.

HAZBIN HOTEL: ADRIAN'S REFERENCE

HUMAN

Full name: Adrian Mulligan

Lifespan: 1914-1947

Age at death: 33

COD: Murder (bullet wound in the chest)

Personality: Adrian has a happy-go-lucky attitude while he's alive. An optimist with a snarky reply on the tip of his tongue. His sense of humour can be dry and at times brash. Definitely has an interesting choice of insults for anyone. He's very charismatic and will definitely try to charm you out of your life's savings. He's excitable and always looking for something new to try whether it be good or bad. He's very ✨ fruity ✨. He admittedly lost his childlike spark in the year leading up to his death.

Life in a nutshell: Born in Dublin, 1914. He grew up in Ireland until 1925 and his family moved to NYC in search of the American Dream. He was 11 at the time. Adrian quickly realised that he wasn't exactly America's...type (historically accurate!). That's when he figured out that he's on his own here. To make ends meet, he began getting involved in crime. Nothing too extreme at first. Petty theft and pickpocketing here and there. Whatever meant money. He met Angel Dust (then Anthony) when he tried to pickpocket him when they were both teenagers. Luckily for Adrian, Anthony found it hilarious and maybe adorable. The two started meeting behind the backs of Anthony's family for a while until Adrian was finally introduced. That's how Adrian got involved in the mafia in 1930 when he was just 16 years old. He became quite a mysterious but notorious con artist. He started doing bigger scams than just pickpocketing. The scams that got him real money...and enemies. When Anthony died at the beginning of 1947, it hit Adrian like a truck. He crumbled. He was thrown off his game by the grief and that was dangerous for someone in Adrian's line of work. Later that same year, he was coming back from visiting Anthony's grave for the millionth time and had to cut through alleys. What he didn't know was that some people weren't too happy with losing their money...which cost Adrian his life that night.

DEMON

NAME: ADRIAN (THE SHADOW DEMON)

He's a fox demon!

In a way, he's grateful he died so soon because he doubts he could've lived the rest of his life without his best friend. On the other hand, he hates his demon appearance. He knows full well that it's the universe's way of saying "fuck you" since Adrian was hunted, shot and left to die - like a fox hunted for sport. He died in the most dehumanising way he could imagine and now he has to spend eternity in Hell as the exact thing he felt like when he died.

Then he had a thought.

He spent his life feeling like scum to society and not just because of his profession. Why should his afterlife be the same? That was the start of his descent into blind ambition and greed. Some demons have some sort of power after their fall to Hell. Adrian was one of them. Fortune telling and the ability to manipulate shadows in the palm of his hand. That's not enough. He needs purpose. He needs to feel worthy of something, anything. Cue his meeting with the Radio Demon. Alastor saw Adrian's potential. Desperation mixed with unchecked ambition and a need for validation...but also a silver-tongued, charismatic, rather sarcastic fox. A contract just waiting to be signed. Alastor approached Adrian with his proposal: Alastor's guidance and protection in return for Adrian's soul. Needless to say, Adrian gladly seized the opportunity. Under Alastor's wing, Adrian soon began collecting souls for himself in return for his abilities of fortune telling using demonic tarot cards. Who wouldn't want to know their fate in the cesspit of despair that is Hell? His powers along with his mysterious aura earned him the title of "The Shadow Demon".

However, a contract with Alastor is never as good as it seems. When the Hazbin Hotel opened and Alastor volunteered to help run it "out of sheer absolute boredom", Adrian found himself summoned to work there. Work there as a butler of all things. Who knows? Perhaps Adrian will grow to like the hotel.

Asha's relationship with John Dory

JD has tried on several occasions to flirt with Asha. Never works. JD is left baffled. Yes this is a Hazbin Hotel reference but think of that Alastor quote "Ha! No." or "Never going to happen..." That's Asha's reaction.

Asha doesn't really know how she feels about JD but she now definitely knows where Clay got his slight ego from.

Most of what Asha knows about JD is from Clay's middle child syndrome. When she met JD, she greatly looked forward to the impending family drama. She's a radio host. She lives for the tea and the chaos that comes with said tea.

Asha's relationship with Bruce

She's never allowed to babysit Bruce's kids. Ever.

Remember that quote from Hotel Transylvania "so what if ya cut your finger off? It's part of the fun!". That's Asha's attitude towards any child, troll or not.

Asha doesn't say anything of this out loud but she respects Bruce's parenting skills and love for his family. That's something Asha didn't experience so she thinks it's nice that Bruce's kids won't end up like her.

Her only grievance with Bruce is those meddling cheap-copies-of-the-beauty-that-is-radio podcasts. Bruce once asked her listen to one and she said:

"Ask me that again and you'll be one of the cases on those mediocre true crime podcasts."

Asha's relationship with Floyd

Floyd is terrified of her.

Floyd's emotional nature and Asha's creepy aura is a hilarious combo to everyone watching.

Asha definitely reminds Floyd of Branch's sarcasm. She once said to his face post TBT:

"Floyd, you're supposed to frost the tips not the roots."

He finds her ability to say the bluntest things to people's faces without fear of consequences astonishing. She's a radio host. Surely she's mindful about what she says, right?... Right?

Floyd irks Asha sometimes. She doesn't understand his sense of empathy even towards Veneer of all people. He makes her question everything about her morality which bothers her. How can someone so mistreated be so empathic and understanding towards their abusers? I see Floyd as someone you can both get advice from or just a listening ear. Asha sees that too and that scares her. She's supposed to be in control of both others and herself so why does she feel like she could be genuine friends with Floyd? It confuses her that maybe...just maybe...she can drop the smile around him.

Side note but Floyd definitely helped Asha work out that she likes Clay.

Fun fact: Since I don’t got colored pencils or markers that would work well, I can’t color my vines properly, so i’ll just tell you guys what colors they are Meredith is a bright red as she was the result of trying to make the perfect rose, and her vines are green with orange thorns/teeth Verbe and Gavin are both a pinkish red and are textured like a human heart (I said Verbe was scarier for a reason) Olundar has a blackish grey coloring where his armor usually is (Shaded parts), his thorns/body also follows meredith’s vine color scheme, minus his jaw wing that is a dark red Spiky 19th has a bright orange head with a lighter orange for his thorns and a green body Maugerich’s helmet is real so it is silver, his thorns however are a metallic grey and his body is a darker metallic grey (This is an indicator of his diet of metals) Jack is a light pink with purple thorns, his mock glasses are a light green shade Rosarch is a deep red on his shaded bits, as well as a darker pink on the rest of his body

Sawry is a nice green color with darker green vines/thorns

Treeby is a deep pink color with magenta thorns, her eye dots are also green Sharelex is a gold color on his axe-like head with a silver body+yellowish thorns Thorndragon is a bronze color on the pointed head with copper thorns and a reddish copper body Torvon is a bronze color on her head,and a rust color on the body with a copper thorn coloring, Giganavonis also has this color scheme as they are twins Glagreez follows Kaikreez’s color scheme of black flesh and milk colored bones as he is the fiend’s fanboy (Vines only change color after splitting off Meredith as they will be her color scheme until they split, their diet also affects this coloration)

Rosarch (A vine that’s usually not mentioned) thinks of Olundar as a father figure despite Olundar being his uncle by blood, as a result he often copies Olundar, follows him around, prioritizes Olundar’s requests over Meredith, and looks up to Olundar Rosarch is also one of the “Teen” vines of the group, as he is older

I love the ugliness of love. Removing love from its socially accepted roots. Love as not a mere source of tragedy and sadness, but as an active corruptive power over those it mystifies. Love as the addiction without cure and the wound forever bleeding. I love seeing the beauty of something so coveted spun on its head.

They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.

I suddenly remembered all of my OCs from my Wattpad era, the majority of which are not related in any way to any canon characters and just vibe in the worlds they live in and then I got an urge to share some stuff about them with you. I doubt I'll go back to writing them even though I still think they're amazing and the backstories for some of them are freaking crazy (in a positive way, I thinking)
