rindemption answered: I think it has more to do with the whole ‘We Are Jedi, We Do Not Form Attachments’ bit. I think Obi was trying to get Ani to let go of his mother and not go running off on a rescue mission, especially considering they had duties to attend to.

but a jedi’s role is one of compassion and the preservation of life… they could have probably gotten another off-duty jedi to check up on them real quick or something;;;

i always thought that obi wan was a little ooc in that instance tbh??? “dreams pass in time” sounds like something qui gon would say, not obi… personally i feel that after the second time the vision came around obi would have been like “… alright i’ll ask and see if we can go” and then if the council said no he would have discreetly looked the other way as anakin bounced off back to tatooine for plausible deniability

Obi-Wan swears up and down that he has no ticklish spots. Certainly, no one in the crèche ever found them, and Anakin in those times that he tried to retaliate against his Master (Anakin is incredibly ticklish. Obi-Wan found out that his Padawan had never been tickled and teased him mercilessly until Anakin was around… 12?), anyway, Anakin never found them.

Obi-Wan is also a lying liar who lies. He is incredibly ticklish on the backs of his knees and the inside of his ankles. The only two people who have found these spots are Qui-Gon (Master Padawan tickle fights are a legacy of Yoda’s line) and Rex.

Rex found out in what was supposed to be the teasing build up to a blowjob. Obi-Wan kicked him in face. Once his nose stopped bleeding, Rex thought it was hilarious. Obi-Wan never did.

Rex has never let him forget it.
