In the glorious realm of Valhalla, where the figure of the notorious ruler of the underworld stood tall, Hades, the infamous eldest of the four brothers, sat on his fancy seat.

Bored? Absolutely. He had spent his entire life and youth preparing to be king. There was never a chance for him to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, save for his brief and unsatisfying affair with Minthe. Friends who cherished him for who he was? Never. The freedom to voice his own thoughts? That too was denied to him, stifled by his overwhelming tendency to put others before himself.

He was, after all, a man whose selflessness knew no bounds.

Hades sighed to himself. His younger brothers never stopped dragging him into their escapades, always urging him to spend time with at least one or two women. It was typical for gods, especially those as mature and influential as him, to attend such gatherings.

Yet, deep down, he wished he could escape it all.

Truth be told, the only reason he showed up was that he missed his brothers. But, as usual, Zeus left him stranded in the middle of a crowd, anxiety creeping in, while the youngest brother wandered off to charm some ladies.

"Zeus, you brat…"

Hades muttered under his breath but decided to keep his frustration to himself.

Hades glanced around at the deities who filled the spacious room, sighing once more before turning his back on them and walking away from the scene. He longed to unburden himself to his brothers, to let them feel the weight of his exhaustion, but they never seemed to truly understand his struggles.

Out on the balcony, he gazed up at the stars glowing in the sky of Valhalla. Unlike the bleak and dreary skies of Helheim, Valhalla was full of life.

Oh, how he wished to feel as alive as that sky.

"…Hades-sama…"

For heaven’s sake, who would dare bother him now?

"-Hades…-sama.."

Could they not see that he wanted nothing more than to be left alone?

"…Hades-sama!"

This better not be someone simply trying to use his status for their own gain.

"…It's Beelzebub."

Hades' eyes widened as the familiar, soft voice, tinged with exhaustion, reached his ears.

Beelzebub? Ah, of course, that bothersome fly. Hades snickered to himself before sighing and turning toward the Lord of the Flies.

There he was, dressed impeccably in a simple black suit that perfectly complemented his stature, cinching his waist just right.

"…You told me… ah, to-"

Beelzebub began to speak, his eyebrows raising as he took in Hades’ disheveled appearance. While no one else could tell, Beelzebub always saw right through him.

"Pick me up, yes."

Hades smiled, brushing past Beelzebub as the weight that had felt like a punch to his gut amidst the crowd of deities seemed to vanish in the presence of this fly.

"Hmn…"

Beelzebub nodded, quietly following Hades with an open umbrella in hand, just as the sky began to drizzle.

Yet, at times, Beelzebub was still a burden to Hades, despite being someone he considered more than just a friend. His feelings, a mix of irritation and amusement, had slowly grown into something deeper, a small crush that steadily blossomed with time.

But could he ever confess these feelings? Beelzebub, shorter in stature, never seemed to show any real attraction toward him, or toward anyone, for that matter.

Maybe he just needed to wait a little longer. Perhaps, with time, things might change.

Hades didn’t feel an urgent need to reveal his emotions, nor was he sure if what he felt was truly love. It wasn't something he was well-acquainted with, after all.

Amidst the disappointed and exaggerated cries of the divine spectators, the human side erupted in excitement at their unexpected victory. The gods, on the other hand, wailed in disbelief and fear, unable to comprehend the possibility of their defeat.

Hades, lying on the dirt of the arena, couldn't believe how much humanity had grown in its ability to challenge him.

He sighed, his body limp and broken as blood soaked through his once pristine white attire. His grip on the weapon, once fused with Poseidon's spear, weakened as his strength faded.

Breathing became impossible, the pain too intense to bear, and the roaring crowd blurred into an incomprehensible echo. All he knew was that he was about to die, defeated by a mortal who seemed to surpass him as a king.

Adamas and Zeus, witnessing their notorious and revered eldest brother fall to a mere mortal, could only imagine that he was hallucinating. They thought he saw Poseidon, the brother Hades had vowed to avenge, for he was smiling even as his body crumbled into green pixels.

Yet, as Hades slipped away, it wasn’t only his younger brother that filled his mind. Instead, it was a certain someone else.

That someone now stood in front of the screen broadcasting Hades' death throughout the realm. His eyes widened in shock, fists unclenched in disbelief. How deeply he had admired the king.

But it was too late. Hades should have confessed sooner.

He shouldn’t have wasted time worrying about Satan; he was powerful enough to have dealt with the devil himself.

hii! I'm new to this platform and I haven't fully understood how it works yet... also, english is not my first language. but here are some headcanons <3

Seeing him, I think he would only accept being with someone he has known since he was little, so maybe someone who was in an orphanage with him. He needs someone who knows what it feels like when he talks about the days spent doing nothing, locked in there before Kakucho arrived

For me he suffers from insomnia... so be prepared for purely nocturnal dates. The situation can vary from motorbike rides with breakfast somewhere as soon as dawn breaks, or simple time spent together on the bed or on the roof of the house, talking about anything

It's not uncommon to see you at Tenjiku meetings, perhaps next to him, on his lap, or sitting between him and Kakucho. He likes to show you off, point out to the rest of the members that you are in a relationship with him. He would have no problem talking to his members while you braiding his hair, in fact, if someone dares to say something, he has no problem to shut him up

Just because of the point made before, I think he's someone who is really protective of your respect and how others talk to you. He is careful about how others talk to you because if they even get something wrong they can find themselves dead. He once caught someone calling you a "bitch" because he saw you with Kakucho, not knowing he was basically your bodyguard. Let's say that Izana didn't take it very well

Jealous until the end, I believe that in comparison with the rest of the characters in the manga, no one reaches his level. The only one he leaves you with without getting paranoid is Kakucho

He's not exactly the best at showing his love. Not for any reason in particular, it's just a block of his. It might be years of a relationship before he says "I love you", but it would show how much he cares about you in a more "factuals" ways

Even if he hides it, for me he is someone who seriously adores the world of fashion. You could spend hours together in your room while you try your entire wardrobe, noting which matches are best with certain shirts or skirts. He loves spending hours like this while advising you what goes well with what what

He would like to show you the place where he has been for so long, that is, the orphanage. He would spend hours in the garden while watching the orphaned children play with each other. Maybe he could even imagine a future where the two of you adopt some

Once he grow up, he would like to move to the Philippines. Having spent so many years in Japan, despite being only part Japanese, he would love to make a life there in the Philippines with you. Seeing you even interested in his culture would only make him fall more in love with you

For him, children are extremely important, and he would have no problem having one even at the age of 18. Growing up with his parents' rejection, he simply wants to love someone like he wasn't loved by his mother, father and Karen. So yes, at a certain age he would open up the topic of "children" with you

My headcanons on …-

IZANA KUROKAWA 👑

- learned English by reading books at the orphanage

- half his life he didn’t know his origins so even if he’s half Japanese and half Filipino he doesn’t know any single words of Tagalog

- got his earrings in a temple

- he doesn’t like slow people, he prefers when others are fast/quick to do what he orders

- this guy knows his worth so if you want something with/from him you’ll have to beg him or even kneel

- love language : ( giving ) always looking(staring) at you like he’s watching over you

- love language : ( receiving ) telling him what he wants to hear, acting soft and calm with him

- can act like a brat in public if he’s feeling bad/angry

- read people’s facial expressions/body movements so easily it’s like a second nature for him

- i feel like he is not interested nor ready for a romantic relationship

- sleeps for like 3-4 hours

- wears baggy pants/sweaters + heels + Vivienne Westwood jewelry

- hates being interrupted

-> Taiju Shiba (he finds him stupid for breaking families moral codes and hurting them, he envy him to have siblings and doesn’t like him because he doesn’t show his siblings the love a big brother should)

-> South Terano (thinks he’s just like Hanma that he only wants a little bit of friction and nothing else, he thinks people like this are stupid and boring to hell)

-> Hakkai Shiba (I don’t think he would “hate” him but more ignore him since he sees him as a liar or a scared person that hides behind others for protection)

I think he would get along/would enjoy their companies : (PLATONIC‼️)

-> Senju Kawaragi (he likes the way she’s dedicating all of her life training to be stronger than Mikey, it’s similar to his conviction) ✅

-> Yuzuha Shiba (Even though she’s younger of 3 years he thinks of her as a sister/motherly figure he had been wanting for so long, plus she’s respectful and admirable and she respects his opinion on how he sees life, etc) ✅

-> Seishu Inui (Finds it relaxing that he doesn’t speaks too much because he has grown to love silence, likes how they can talk about how they both loved Shinichiro without being blood related to him) ✅✅

If we’re still talking Yandere! Izana, then good luck. He has officially labeled you as property, and refuses your request to leave. A breakup was a mutual decision, right? So if he says no, then you’re not breaking up. If you’re insistent on leaving him, he’s not above scaring you; threatening to kill everyone close to you, arrange for anyone else you associate to take the fall for these murders… Yandere!Izana is especially cruel and might take even more extreme measures to keep you complacent(like drugging you/captivity…etc), if you continue to infuriate him further. Sorry bestie♡

If we’re talking canon Izana, honestly; If his s/o decides to leave him, while he’ll be royally pissed about it, he won’t fight you to stay with him; since he does kind of see people as tools. At least that’s what he’s convinced himself to believe. He doesn’t think he needs you. He has no use for you if you serve him no purpose, if you want to leave him, then he will try to convince himself that as a tool, you are replaceable. It’s only after not having you around for a few days will he realize how much he actually valued your companionship. Izana realizes once you’re gone that he didn’t want to be separated from you. He considers Shinichiro’s words to never hit girls. Izana thought it was stupid, he was unprejudiced in whom he hit—It was only fair. He began thinking maybe that was why he was “wrong”. It took a flabbergasted Kakucho to spell it out for him to realize, you shouldn’t hit the people you love. If you love them, you treat them well, and protect them from everyone, even yourself.

From there, Izana will do one of the two;

He’ll either return to reader within two weeks time, confessing— Very begrudgingly—that he realizes that he should not have hit you, and while he’s still learning to control his emotions and reactions, he promises you he will never hurt you (physically) again.

Or, Izana will leave you be. He has a lot of gang shit to deal with, and deep down he will know having someone he loves so close to him will either make him too soft for the horrors he must commit, or you will eventually be caught in the crossfire. Either way, he knows you’re better off without him. Even if it hurts him, he will do everything to distract himself from ever thinking about you again.

HOW TO WRITE A CHARACTER WHO IS IN PAIN

first thing you might want to consider: is the pain mental or physical?

if it’s physical, what type of pain is it causing? — sharp pain, white-hot pain, acute pain, dull ache, throbbing pain, chronic pain, neuropathic pain (typically caused by nerve damage), etc

if it’s mental, what is the reason your character is in pain? — grief, heartbreak, betrayal, anger, hopelessness, fear and anxiety, etc

because your character will react differently to different types of pain

PHYSICAL PAIN

sharp and white-hot pain may cause a character to grit their teeth, scream, moan, twist their body. their skin may appear pale, eyes red-rimmed and sunken with layers of sweat covering their forehead. they may have tears in their eyes (and the tears may feel hot), but they don’t necessarily have to always be crying.

acute pain may be similar to sharp and white-hot pain; acute pain is sudden and urgent and often comes without a warning, so your character may experience a hitched breathing where they suddenly stop what they’re doing and clench their hand at the spot where it hurts with widened eyes and open mouth (like they’re gasping for air).

dull ache and throbbing pain can result in your character wanting to lay down and close their eyes. if it’s a headache, they may ask for the lights to be turned off and they may be less responsive, in the sense that they’d rather not engage in any activity or conversation and they’d rather be left alone. they may make a soft whimper from their throat from time to time, depends on their personality (if they don’t mind others seeing their discomfort, they may whimper. but if your character doesn’t like anyone seeing them in a not-so-strong state, chances are they won’t make any sound, they might even pretend like they’re fine by continuing with their normal routine, and they may or may not end up throwing up or fainting).

if your character experience chronic pain, their pain will not go away (unlike any other illnesses or injuries where the pain stops after the person is healed) so they can feel all these types of sharp pain shooting through their body. there can also be soreness and stiffness around some specific spots, and it will affect their life. so your character will be lucky if they have caretakers in their life. but are they stubborn? do they accept help from others or do they like to pretend like they’re fine in front of everybody until their body can’t take it anymore and so they can no longer pretend?

neuropathic pain or nerve pain will have your character feeling these senses of burning, shooting and stabbing sensation, and the pain can come very suddenly and without any warning — think of it as an electric shock that causes through your character’s body all of a sudden. your character may yelp or gasp in shock, how they react may vary depends on the severity of the pain and how long it lasts.

EMOTIONAL PAIN

grief can make your character shut themself off from their friends and the world in general. or they can also lash out at anyone who tries to comfort them. (five states of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and eventual acceptance.)

heartbreak — your character might want to lock themself in a room, anywhere where they are unseen. or they may want to pretend that everything’s fine, that they’re not hurt. until they break down.

betrayal can leave a character with confusion, the feelings of ‘what went wrong?’, so it’s understandable if your character blames themself at first, that maybe it’s their fault because they’ve somehow done something wrong somewhere that caused the other character to betray them. what comes after confusion may be anger. your character can be angry at the person who betrayed them and at themself, after they think they’ve done something wrong that resulted in them being betrayed, they may also be angry at themself next for ‘falling’ for the lies and for ‘being fooled’. so yes, betrayal can leave your character with the hatred that’s directed towards the character who betrayed them and themself. whether or not your character can ‘move on and forgive’ is up to you.

there are several ways a character can react to anger; they can simply lash out, break things, scream and yell, or they can also go complete silent. no shouting, no thrashing the place. they can sit alone in silence and they may cry. anger does make people cry. it mostly won’t be anything like ‘ugly sobbing’ but your character’s eyes can be bloodshot, red-rimmed and there will be tears, only that there won’t be any sobbing in most cases.

hopelessness can be a very valid reason for it, if you want your character to do something reckless or stupid. most people will do anything if they’re desperate enough. so if you want your character to run into a burning building, jump in front of a bullet, or confess their love to their archenemy in front of all their friends, hopelessness is always a valid reason. there’s no ‘out of character’ if they are hopeless and are desperate enough.

fear and anxiety. your character may be trembling, their hands may be shaky. they may lose their appetite. they may be sweaty and/or bouncing their feet. they may have a panic attack if it’s severe enough.
