Actually no. Jack Sayori and Davey Monika. Davey is so used to fitting the mold he's supposed to fill, the smart older brother always putting others before himself, that he gets to be utterly unhinged for a little while. Jack is the sweet best friend unwilling to let his walls down enough to ask for help until it's too late.
Crutchie and Natsuki would be best friends tbh. both put into the box of "cute innocent sidekick" while actually being a lot more complex than that and yet not taken seriously when they try to get people to see that. idk why Race is Yuri he just is. likes big words (even tho Race uses them to sound photosynthesis and Yuri uses them correctly).

welcome to my brave new reimagining of newsies. in this version, pulitzer, wiesel, snyder, and the delanceys will be played by people of color to increase the diversity. all other characters will be played by white people except for three of the background characters who have one line each. also, it will be very clear that pulitzer is a metaphor for The Left™ and the newsies represent the hardworking young republicans who just want to chase the american dream. davey is explicitly a trump supporter because this is set in modern new york for absolutely no reason at all.

Foggy carries a drunk Matt home from a frat party and confronts him about his recent breakup.

I know.” “Let’s get you home, buddy,” Foggy said, helping Matt up. “You’re obviously too drunk to realize you’re at a frat party.” “Sure you guys don’t wanna stay awhile longer?” someone else asked. “We’re sure,” Foggy said as he linked his arm with Matt’s.

it’s super interesting to me how some people came out of this ep thinking “redemption arcs don’t exist, some people are just Bad” re: daisy, when i feel like her entire s4 characterization is meant to work alongside this new ep; the point isn’t that daisy is Good or Bad, it is that she was not a person incapable of seeing her own bad decisions and cruel behaviour but chose to indulge in them due to a mix of factors (the hunt, and also her own temperament and background). once one of the factors became less influential on her she was able to take a step back and realize that she had done so much wrong, so much that she did not even think herself worthy to ask forgiveness, and quietly came to accept that she would live with this guilt the rest of her life. when she reindulged in the hunt she knew the daisy that had come out of the coffin was not going to let herself live with the hunt, and asked basira to kill her. she is in every aspect as much of a Tragic character as the rest of them, in that her fatal flaws exist in painful tandem with the better parts of her, and it feels like it’s doing the writing a bit of a disservice to reduce it to Daisy Good or Daisy Bad and that she should be put down like a dog or whatever
indigenous religions need to be acknowledged and treated with respect and so do indigenous sacred lands.
