it’s super interesting to me how some people came out of this ep thinking “redemption arcs don’t exist, some people are just Bad” re: daisy, when i feel like her entire s4 characterization is meant to work alongside this new ep; the point isn’t that daisy is Good or Bad, it is that she was not a person incapable of seeing her own bad decisions and cruel behaviour but chose to indulge in them due to a mix of factors (the hunt, and also her own temperament and background). once one of the factors became less influential on her she was able to take a step back and realize that she had done so much wrong, so much that she did not even think herself worthy to ask forgiveness, and quietly came to accept that she would live with this guilt the rest of her life. when she reindulged in the hunt she knew the daisy that had come out of the coffin was not going to let herself live with the hunt, and asked basira to kill her. she is in every aspect as much of a Tragic character as the rest of them, in that her fatal flaws exist in painful tandem with the better parts of her, and it feels like it’s doing the writing a bit of a disservice to reduce it to Daisy Good or Daisy Bad and that she should be put down like a dog or whatever

Foggy carries a drunk Matt home from a frat party and confronts him about his recent breakup.

“Jesus, what happened?” Foggy exclaimed. “You know you can’t hold your alcohol, Matt!” “Got a little… carried ‘way,” Matt slurred. “You shouldn’t be drinking, not now, not after what happened with Elek—” “Don’t say it,” Matt interrupted. “Don’t say her name. I know.” “Let’s get you home, buddy,” Foggy said, helping Matt up. “You’re obviously too drunk to realize you’re at a frat party.” “Sure you guys don’t wanna stay awhile longer?” someone else asked. “We’re sure,” Foggy said as he linked his arm with Matt’s.
