I mean, he stayed in Purgatory for A YEAR, with little hope that Cas was even still alive, just to find him and bring him back home with him and Benny. I 100% believe he would've jumped into the void right behind him. ESPECIALLY after the confession scene. So Dean just gets ragdolled across the room and then looks up to see the love of his life swallowed by a void and all he has left of him is the bloody handprint he left behind. UGH. Why did I write this out. Sigh.
