In fanfiction there is a difference between being a good writer and a popular writer. 

Just because you can write a well-structured story with dynamic and consistent writing and characters doesn’t mean you will be popular. And sometimes stories that have disorganized plots, mediocre writing, and/or OOC characters will be held up as the greatest things to ever exist. 

Just because your writing isn’t popular doesn’t mean you are a bad writer. Don’t ever compromise who you are, who your characters are, your plot, your writing style, anything for the sake of readership.

There are popular writers everywhere. But there are only so many good writers.

when it comes to writing it’s good to think of your brain like a muscle but keeping that line of thinking I wanted to say that as writers we have different skills and that’s okay. you may be good at short sprints. others can do long. some can even do marathons!!!! whether you write 500 words or 5k or over 20k it is still valuable and it is time well spent

I love it when anons/guests find my works and kudo/leave reviews, but given the new revelation that Elon Musk is using bots to mine AO3 fanfiction for a writing AI without writer's permission, my works are now archive-locked and only available for people with an AO3 account.

I suggest that we start using the term ‘creatives’ instead of ‘content creators’ for authors/artists/gifmakers/podficcers for a few reasons, and chief among them are these;

we can’t always be our most productive, but there’s a terrible trend of fandom folks feeling bad if they don’t have something new to post every few weeks

you’re still a creative person even if you aren’t creating something at a given time, for whatever reason

and something it’s taken me far too long to learn myself: making things is not the rent you pay to be part of a community

As a Jewish person who suffers from bipolar disorder, I have no sympathy for Kanye West. GN!reader x Beel

It’s been almost a few weeks since you were brought to devil dom and it was hard for you, you were feeling homesick and you’re body still wasn’t accosted to the new atmosphere. It left you with a restlessness that you couldn’t escape from despite sleep’s open arms. Water wouldn’t necessarily help but one could hope it would dilute the aching feeling you felt.

You come to find the (now) normal scene of Beel raiding the fridge of all of it contents. He watches you from the corner of his eye as you take a seat at the island, swallowing the chunk of food he was eating. He continues to eat, Consuming a smaller amount in case you wanted to talk. But you stayed quiet and he followed suit. The only sound that could be heard was the small happy hums and the sound of munching throughout the kitchen. The water seemingly forgotten.

“Can’t sleep?” He finally says, finishing what appeared to be last of the food. You hum in acknowledgment. “I’ll make you something.”

“I’m not really hungry right now. I appreciate it tho.” You mumble softly. His face shows nothing, a blank sheet as he scans your face. He notices the deep bags under your eyes, the way your face sags with exhaustion and the way your shoulder tense despite only just getting out of bed. He turns back to eat some more when he recognizes the uncomfortable twitch of you being watched.

“I know a recipe that’ll help.” He speaks softly and warily as if he could sense how desperately you were trying to hold on. He continues rummaging through the fridge, his finger skimming products of food he would later consume.

“Beel, love, I’m not really in the mood to eat right now but maybe in-“

“It helped me” he interrupts. He pauses for a second in his one sided war against the fridge. His eyes turn to meet yours and you can’t help but notice how this is once more one of the softer moments of Beel he’s allowed you to see. His features are soft with slumber but his eyes are sharp and honest, always quietly reading the room, always quietly reading you. “When I had my nightmare, this is what I would turn to….before you came.” He says softly.

You nod and watch him get the materials he needs to make this mysterious midnight snack. Your eyes travel his body curiously. His tattoo, moving almost as if it was alive, slithered with each whisk of the small pot while the black tank top did little to cover his toned back. An innocent urge pushes you out your chair and before you realize, you’re wrapping your arms around his tiny waist. He continues as if you hadn’t, but you can hear his heart beat a little faster and feel his muscles tense at the contact. He knew you needed this. Hell, he probably needed this more than you but for right now it didn’t matter. All that mattered was his warmth and his unusual caring side was extended to even “just a human”

꠵ First off, Mitsuya Takashi is a family man. He’s the kind of guy you’d be excited to introduce to your parents. Especially if you have siblings, he’d be so sweet to them bc he has sisters of his own.

꠵ Mitsuya isn’t really big on gift-giving. Of course, he’ll buy you something if he knows you want it bc anything to make you happy. But his love language is naturally acts of service with a little words of affirmation.

꠵ There was one instance you were swamped with work at school and had to stay some extra hours to complete a group project, but you also had to pick up your brother from school and grab some meat from the market. Mitsuya had asked to hang out, but you explained to him how busy you were and that you'd have no time. He offered to help, but you refused bc you're a stubborn ass. Mitsuya loved that you were independent, though sometimes it truly annoyed him.

꠵ He literally didn't listen to you. (LMFAO) Deadass was like “ok”, knowing he was gonna help you anyways. As soon as school let out, he went to pick up your brother. On the way, he stopped to buy your favorite meat from the market. (always going the extra mile 👩🏽‍💻)

꠵ Rely on him!! He loves being able to help you and he’s so used to taking care of everyone. Give him cute spa days to make him feel appreciated <3

꠵ Love. love. loves complimenting/affirming you. "You're beautiful." "You look good in anything you wear." "You're so smart angel." "I'm always here for you." I just know he loves pet names.

꠵ He'd definitely send you messages in the morning that read something like, "have a good day pretty, let me know if you need anything :)" and night messages that read something like, "goodnight angel, i hope you sleep well!"

꠵ Mitusya absolutely adores your voice. It doesn't matter what you're talking about, but he'll listen attentively. The way this boy is so down bad for you, he can listen for hours. He gets so happy when you talk to him about your interests. Honestly, he's just grateful you trust him enough to share it with him.

꠵ Anyone who knows Mitsuya knows that he's very observant and can quickly pick up when you're upset. He'd talk to you about it, but if you're not ready then he won't pressure you. Mitsuya respects your boundaries and wants you to feel comfortable with him, so he moves at your pace.

꠵ Mitsuya loves watching you do the little things like tying your hair, or your face when you're super focused, picking out your outfit for the day, etc. He's just completely enamored with you bc you're his angel <33

꠵ Not really the jealous type because he knows you only have eyes for him and he's secure in the relationship. (not even on some cocky shit) But this is not to say that sometimes things don't get to him.

꠵ One time you just kept talking about this guy you had seen on the train and how cool he was dressed. I mean you went on and on, so Mitsuya politely shut you up with a kiss. It took you by surprise at first, but then you realized he was probably feeling a little jealous. We cannot be having the best boy feeling jealous. Sooo you were extra touchy n affectionate after to make up for it. (he ate that shit up fr)

꠵ Whenever he gets the chance, he takes you on night walks and you guys listen to his playlist while holding hands. (he made you a playlist idc what anyone says) Mitsuya is usually very busy, but he'll make time for you guys to spend alone together. He starts going through withdrawals when he hasn't seen you for too long. (no joke)

꠵ Overall Mitsuya is just the best boy!!! He'd love you, support you, take care of you and push you to do your best. (basically find urself a Mitsuya)
