A storm is brewing and since I'm stuck indoors, I thought I could have some fun. Big emphasis on fun, for my sake and everyone else's. Please. So, without prolonging this too much, I'm down for some theories and speculations today and when I do it, either call me Columbo or a clown, but what's important is that I do it in style.

I've observed that these days, some idols have been a bit careless with their watches. Are they using them simply as expensive accesories? Do they need to know the time or they have their managers to do that for them? Oh, to live an idol lifestyle....nothing but idleness, right?

Or is it? The suspects today are Park Jimin, Choi Minho and Lee Taemin. My assistant to this case @peppertaemint and her reliable sources brought to my attention something we've briefly talked about a few weeks ago. Actually, we made some jokes. The situation was as follows.

Was the Rolex broken and the guy didn't know? It seems a bit silly given that the watch is not cheap at all. And usually, with an item like that, you do cherish and take care of it. It's a status symbol (I'll expand on that below). Also, Minho is known for posting on Bubble at specific times. His birthday or SHINee anniversary. It's not part of the fandom's collective imagination. They don't need to invent their own math in order to come up with the number they want. It's pretty straightforward.

Now, what does 11:55 mean? Nothing for now, but it's close to 12:09 which is Minho time (thank you pptm again). Anyway, the jury is still out on this one. It might just be that Minho needs to fix his watch.

But well, well, well, what do we have here? Taemin himself showing the same negligence as his boyfriend Hyung.

In Taemin's case, I wouldn't be surprised he just didn't care that his time was wrong, but then what is going on? Do 2Min need to buy new watches? Did the Rolexes skip quality control and somehow these 2 idols are victims, scammed of thousands of dollars? Is it a trend? A secret code between them? I'll say that all of the above should be taken into consideration.

Finally, the third victim (?) of faulty watches, Park Jimin-ssi. In his case, we're dealing with a Patek Philippe. It's the type of watch that a media mogul like Logan Roy would appreciate, or at least that's what Tom Wambsgans thought.

Logan did not care at all about the watch and it ended up as the equivalent of hush money for a kid that they all made fun of when they offered him a million bucks if he scores at a game. Oh, I miss Succession so much.....

Back to Patek Philippe. As Tom said in his rehearsed funny line, everytime you look at it, it tells you how rich you are, aka a status symbol. Or in Jimin's case, it tells you Jungkook's birth hour?

Like Minho, we also know that Jimin has his Jimin hour, he knows his way around the date calculator and so on. And given all the investigative work already done by other people (like the thread I linked), would it be so outrageous, so hard to believe that it was intentional? I don't think so. It's a sweet gesture and it shows Jimin's attention to details. He did talk about Jungkook's birthday and was among the reasons why he was livestreaming.

Pre-recorded or not (or whatever excuses/conspiracies weirdos like to engage with) Jimin wore the watch in his home and it somehow it was Jungkook's birth hour. Could it all be just a massive coincidence? Maybe. Could the Patek Philippe be faulty? Maybe, but damn, these idols should stop buying expensive watches then.

Is it such a harmful and delusional theory that needs to be buried because some fans are either pussies or plain stupid? No. This fandom loves numbers so much when it involves 20 other pairings within BTS. I think it's fine to talk about an additional one. I'm not the biggest fan/follower of the number theories, especially when it comes to I-jikookers (they work those numbers like they're trying to fix the books), but it doesn't mean that everything is absurd or completely ridiculous.

I'm not ready to close the case, my work as a detective is not done yet. I'll put it on hold, who knows what other evidence I might find myself in posession of in the future?

MY CATALYST: JIMIN - JIMTOBER DAY 10

Jimin is an inspiration. In all senses of the word. (I didn’t want to start this post with a long intro. Honestly I just wanted to get to the point, for I fear I might ramble).

And so I say this with an open heart that’s overflowing with love and respect for someone I’ve never met, and that’s the thing, so many people, like me, can relate to this feeling, of having never felt this level of affinity to another artist as strong as I/we/they do for Jimin.

We can attribute it to his magnetism and charm, but I think it’s even more than that. The feelings he pulls from us are things that influence us in a human level.

Jimin inspires us to be better people, to be good humans, to carry empathy and to remind us that kindness is not a weakness, and we feel it because those are the very traits he shows us about himself. We can see the tangible results of what a good, kindhearted, loving person can lead to, because those are the very things we love about him and his character.

He inspires us to be strong, to advocate for ourselves, to stand your ground but to compromise when you need to. Jimin is no pushover, and he won’t let people use his kindness as a weapon against him, and those who dare have told us that he’s one of the scariest people when provoked. He’s literally the definition of “cause no shit, but take no shit”. He’s steadfast in his beliefs and will always speak up for those he loves.

He inspires us to be the masters of our own life and story. He leaves nothing to chance, he works so hard for himself, because he knows that’s he’s he only one that can make his dreams come true (along with his 7 members). The universe could conspire against him (although it wouldn’t dare) and yet Jimin would come out on top because he’s a winner and winners never quit.

We see his hard work, his dedication and the sacrifices he has made (some that he has put unto himself) and we praise him for his strong work ethic, his perseverance and his drive. Although at times, we want to remind jimin to not work too hard, to slow down for his sake, to remind him that he is worthy of being where he is, that he’s paid his dues, that he’s allowed to be kind to himself, and that we would never leave him or forget about him if he decides to take a small break. Because jimin is unlike anyone the world has ever seen, he’s going to be remembered in history as someone who mattered.

I can only share my experience for the following section because it wouldn’t be fair for me to use anyone else’s voice to speak up on the love I feel for jimin, so be kind while I bare my soul to the universe.

Never in my life have I felt this strongly for an artist. Aside from my intense love for Freddie Mercury, Gloria Gaynor, 2Pac, and My Chemical Romance, I have never appreciated an artist as much as I have BTS.

And I’ve mentioned that Jimin Dec 2017 was my introduction into him and the members, and since then I’ve devoted myself into a world I never knew could exist. A world where you can meet people online and befriend them and make life-long friends. A world where music, despite the language barrier, still manages to bring you together, that shows you “yes music transcends” that can connect you in ways you never thought before. Music that makes you feel understood, loved, appreciated and supported.

That’s who BTS is to me, and I have Jimin to thank for that. It was because of the love he has for the members that allowed me to see them through his eyes, that allowed me to see how much THEY love him through their eyes. Every single member respects, loves, and cares for him, and find ways to remind him how crucial he is to their story and success.

And it’s because of Jimin that I have once again been inspired to create, to learn, to know, to speak and see the world in a more positive light. And he’s taught me that it’s ok to not be ok, as well, that being kind to yourself and to allow yourself some grace can be a form of strength.

Never in my life have I ever allocated time in my day/weeks/months to learn about an entire industry, to learn how to read legal documents and to understand the legality of a system that is corrupt. I have never been inspired to call Radios to ask for spins for an artist, something western artists take for granted here. I have never had such a visceral reaction to seeing Jimin and BTS get snubbed from an industry that does nothing to disparage them.

I have never felt compelled to run a blog, to share my feelings and my perspective so that people can see the way I see Jimin and BTS. Because I just want people to love and appreciate them as much as I do. To let them know that these 7 matter, that they’re worth following, that they’re worth the fight. All of the tears, frustrations, celebrations are worth it if it’s for Jiminie and BTS.

*ahem*

And I absolutely love that Jimin is a little bananas. I love that he leans into it and that he’s not ashamed of being funny,dorky. I love the mischievous look in his eyes when he’s about to be sassy or do something outlandish. I love that he has his crazy little laugh sometimes or that when he smiles so hard his eyes turn into cute little moons. Because when I’m having a shit day, all I have to do is put on Run BTS ep 86-89 and just see him laughing and feel like I’ve just had a dose of medicine, because he heals.

I have also never made graphics before, a lot of the things I have done creatively, I have done because I wanted to show my support and love in a way that can help not only myself, but so many others in supporting the guys/ my jiminie.

In my journey with BTS I have taught myself graphic design, how to make gifs, how to push my own boundaries into the things I want to create. If I didn’t know an answer to something I researched it, because Jimin’s words of “what if I can’t do it?…. Don’t say that Jimin, you have to try”, which might not be seen as impactful to someone else - but to me those words give me the drive to at least fucking try. And look, I still have so much to learn but as someone who did an entire series for Jimin’s FACE release, I’m quite proud of myself for what I accomplished.

My point is that in all of this Jimin has been my catalyst.

I could spin poetry, praise him to the universe and it still wouldn’t be enough to convey how much I love and respect him.

And the thing is people always say “don’t meet your idols”, and I can assure you that if I ever did, I know I would not be disappointed when it comes to my Jimin. He’s kind, genuine and loving, while also being stern and clear on his boundaries, and I could never fault him for anything. He’s been consistently the same, and it is because of those traits and his true nature that willingly dedicate my time to supporting, loving him and doing what I can to make sure he, and the members are in places they deserve.

Suffice to say that to me, Jimin is eternal, and I thank the universe every single day, that he and BTS found me. They came in to my life when I felt unsure and alone, and it was because of them, and Jimin, that I finally feel an overflow of creativity and purpose, love and a new found appreciation to life. Jimin thank you for showing me how beautiful the world can be.

#This is Jimin speculations...

In the second post of #This is Jimin, Jimin danced to Phone Numbers by Domic Fik.

Many are thinking that Jimin might possibly work with Kenny Beats since he is a producer of the song and made a reel about Jimin's post kinda sounding like he could possibly know him:

"My dawg Jimin"? They are bffs!

But I like to look into lyrics and I found something interesting. This is the part that Jimin danced to:

The person in the song is saying how they dare ask why he is not sharing or talking to them. The person switches phone numbers to not keep in contact with whomever they are talking about.

So I looked up the song meaning and found this:

Which reminded me of...Face-Off, which Jimin danced to in the first post of #This is Jimin:

These lyrics are about drowning something away in order to get it out.

When Jimin talked about Face-Off, he explained:

His smile in the last picture lol of course he would!

Face-Off is also about his relationships with people that left him and he left.

The emotions in this song were evident in his way of dancing in his first post. It was an almost aggressive style of Jimin dancing:

While the dancing in his second post is much more smooth and chill.

But both songs are related to relationships with people. In the first, he is angry and trying to drown their traces, in the second he is over it and has moved on so he avoids them.

So now we wait for the 3rd post of #This is Jimin in order to figure out this puzzle.

I'm beginning to think that this is not his documentary at all...
