How I feel about this character – I like her, it is especially interesting to see her progression and development through the story. Many people don't like her, but I see her honesty and straightforwardness as good traits.

All the people I ship romantically with this character – Gale! Really, Gae'zel is a captivating ship. I romanced Lae'zel on my Gale origin run, and it fit so perfectly. When she proposes to spend another night, he tells her he wants to cuddle. He teaches her what romance is, she is ready to protect this istik from anyone including himself. When they travel the Astral Sea, she shows him the libraries of the Githyanki people. Gale teaches her Common, for example, takes her to the libraries of Baldur's Gate and Waterdeep. They're so cool together.

Astarion. The idea that at first they both crave for only physical connection, and then they both discover the feelings they can have for each other. An interesting dynamic. And they both like a partner who can bite! Literally, Lae'zel can eviscerate Astarion, but that makes him even more intrigued and invested into the relationship.

My non-romantic OTP for this character – Shadowheart. I want these girls to have a bromance. To talk about partners, to find solace and understanding in religious brainwashing trauma. To be there for each other when they lose everything they held dear.

My unpopular opinion about this character – she's actually very brave, and she is ready to do anything to protect her people. And she comes to think of tadpals as her people eventually. Yes, she's initially racist, but she never kills anyone for fun (like the Urge tells Durge to do). And she comes to understand that istiki are no less good than githyanki by the end of the journey.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon – I wish she could participate in the party after the final battle!

5. Most memorable gaming moment?

When I was playing Horizon: Zero Dawn on PS4 I got to the place with a projection of an altar covered in roses. At that point I got to know the ending of the life of one of the important mentioned characters. And then I heard the Aloy theme playing in full, and I literally cried.

Also Gale's confession in Baldur's Gate 3 (in Act II). The most beautiful and impressive scene in the game for me.

The most recent is the end of fighting with the archdemon in Dragon Age: Origins. The unexpected act of my companion. So many emotions about that.

15. Hardest game you’ve ever played?

I've never played games by Fromsoftware 😂 So, I guess it's Ori and the Blind Forest and Control. Both of them made me frustrated. I'm not a skillful player. Most hard platformers are beyond my abilities. Shooters as well. But I tried Control on the console, I should try to play on my PC (my husband says it will be easier).

22. Do you watch any other gamers?

No, not really. I only remember watching one youtube streamer playing Half-Life: Alyx (because I don't have a VR headset) and Demon Souls (because souls-like games are hard). Everything else I want to experience myself.

33. Most embarrassing gaming moment.

Every time I can't figure out how to solve a puzzle and start googling it. I always find out that I missed a thing/clue/piece, because I've never seen them.

Also a long time ago I tried Dragon Age: Inquisition with that damned ring of answers! I choose one answer, and my character says exactly the opposite. I'll try it again after the second game in the series, but I'm already preparing for the worst, really.

Gale lifts his middle finger, a flick of his tongue given before he turns the page. 

The Blackstaff Academy reading room is all but abandoned at this hour, nothing but the smell of mahogany and thousands of spines aglow with the soft amber of firelight. Mage hands, silent and focused, sort books or drift toward the ceiling to retrieve tomes for yawning students, and Gale watches one soar behind Noa’s head. 

She squirms in her seat opposite him, a mess of half-graded papers laid in front of her. An ink blotch bleeds through the pages from her stilled quill head and she pinches the bridge of her nose with her other hand, every breath a struggle.

He quirks a brow and the quill snaps. 

Two fingers of his summoned mage hand curl between her legs, its torturous worship buried beneath her teaching robe. When she glares at him he only wears a smug grin, eyes on her as he flips another page.
