I like how Steven Universe let’s it’s characters ugly cry. As someone who always uncontrollably ugly cries in both serious and mild situations, it feels kinda weird when shows only let their characters ugly cry in funny scenes, and then cry softly during important stuff. I like how you can see their snot and the show doesn’t make it gross or comical. Ugly crying should be more normalized
