Continued from this initial sketch, it’s more of my Kitsune!Gunter AU, from Fire Emblem Fates. Here’s Gunter, aka Gunther, hanging out with fellow kitsune Kaden, just shooting the breeze.

Confession: I designed a pourpoint doublet for Gunter to wear under his armor, because I wasn’t in the mood to draw armor. Love a good doublet, though. 

Would that I could figure out how to gouache like this...

These are some of my original characters that began life as Fates fan characters. I was making child units for all the avatarsexuals, but I loved them all so much, I stole them back from the series that inspired them. Now, I'm tentatively writing the script for a would-be game featuring them. Purple guy is Victoria, Gunther and Nerr's daughter. She does not reclass to Nohr Noble because how do I turned dragon? Blue's Clues is Dahlia (like the flowers... or murders), Flora's daughter with a random, NPC soldier, cuz we can't all be special, honey.

So, I’ve just recently started browsing tumblr, rather than looking at specific pages for specific things, and I’ve noticed an odd… trend. At least, among fandons. Everywhere you look, love is considered a beautiful, sacred, wonderful thing… as long as the people in love are the same age. Dare to ship someone with someone considerably older than them, and you may as well have screamed “faaaaaaags!” at a pride parade.

I mean, I’m assuming this is mostly a side effect of tumblr being a hive mind that’s inhabitted teenagers desperate to prove “it’s not a phase, mom!” but seriously, what the fuck do you people have against two consenting adults hooking up? I’m not saying let a 90 year old woman get together with a 13 year old boy, but I’ve seen people flip their shit over the thought of an 18 year old girl and a 34 year old guy. When I was 18, I didn’t find men under the age of forty attractive, and I STILL prefer older men. It’s hardly pedophilia if the person you’re with is legally an adult. I just don’t understand the mentality of tumblr.

I hate it when the quality, and all around beauty of a piece, distracts you from it's shortcomings. Should've spent a liiiiiitle more time on those hands and that face, buddy... this is why I try so hard to ween myself off anime...
