Been meaning to practice background painting, and I was finally inspired by that one scene in A Wizard of Earthsea. I just finished devouring the first three books and wow it’s such a good series 🐉

I’ve had this piece floating around for a while and I finally decided to post it!

Also, puff sleeves were sleeve perfection- what happened? We were close to it with the 80s shoulder pads but it was never quite the same.

Sketchy character concept! I’ve been thinking about magical curses lately, specifically of stories where witches curse people to teach them morals or little lessons. There are so many angles to approach that situation from, but for this concept I was imagining a hunter/gatherer that got too greedy and paid the price 🪄🌳
