I had a bad day.

I climbed into the loft to get the view from the windows up there. This greeted me before I could get all the way.

Secret Ballot

I was one of the more than a million Canadians that voted over Thanksgiving weekend.

I know it was a secret ballot, but I want to share. I voted Green Party because that was the same as voting “None of the Above”.

A lot of the problems we had under the Conservatives were started by the Liberals. And the Liberals were not promoting Canadian values while they voted in Parliament.

The Conservatives took those problems and made them so much worse. So much worse.

The NDP made big promises and I have voted enough by now to not trust any big political promises.

The Green Party is a joke. They have no power to do anything and this year was the first year they had enough strength to even have a condidate in my riding.

I don’t like my options. So I voted “None of the Above”. I voted Green Party.

Christmas gifts

My roommate asked me to knit her some Christmas socks. I had a strong start but my tools broke since the yarn is thicker than my gauge allows. Oops. So they won’t be done in time.

Then today, my roomie asked if I wanted my gift. I stared a bit, not sure if she was joking. She brought forth a jar of crunchy peanut butter and two Aero bars. I could’ve hugged her.

The Christmas spirit that I never have flowed forth that hour!

Seriously, it’s not the greatest idea for a Who (her) to live with a Grinch (me), but we make it work somehow.
