I Saw Your Post And Must Oblige. I Once Read An Article About A Man Finding A Mouse In His Mountain Dew
I saw your post and must oblige. I once read an article about a man finding a mouse in his mountain dew and sued pepsico. Pepsico's defense was that he couldn't have possibly found an intact mouse because in 30 days the mouse would have fully dissolved and become goo in that time. I call bullshit, so I am currently running my own experiment with mice in mountain dew.
That’s very interesting actually, I hadn’t heard of this before. As an avid mountain dew drinker I honestly don’t find it hard to believe 30 days in it could dissolve a mouse, but at the same time I don’t really trust a big company like that to tell the truth. All that said I have one question:
…were the mice dead when you got them?

also ik i just sent one but i cannot pass up the chance to infodump about a story me and a friend are working on because let’s be real no one irl actually cares. it’s more of a concept so far, as in we’ve done a lot of world building but not much actual writing of the story.
so it’s about this kid called ellis who’s like 5/6? and she’s grown up in a giant house in the woods with a creature sewn together frankenstein-style from who knows what. she barely sees it, although it occasionally leaves dead animals on the large dining table for her to eat (it doesn’t have a very good concept of what human children might want to eat).
i’m the woods near her house lives a mountain spirit. they’re normally quite social creatures, who tend to live in large communities in cave systems and such, yet this one seems to be living alone. she keeps seeing it, and suspects it may be stealing her possessions (although it profusely denies these accusations).
nearby, in a nicer section of woodland, another girl called ruth lives with her parents in a cottage. she has never left these woods, and has never needed to, for her parents grow their own food and are probably vegan i guess so no need for anything else???????? it is always raining in these woods, because her parents angered a petty weather witch before ruth was born and she cursed the rain to forever follow them. ruth herself is cursed by a demon, who she believes to be her friend. seeing as she is also about 5, and her parents cannot see it, they have always assumed it to be her imaginary friend.
ellis’ mother was a witch, and when her child was stillborn, she made a deal with something (we haven’t decided what lol) that every year, until her child’s 4th birthday, she must bring another child as a sacrifice in return for her daughter to live. she had 4 years to spend with her child, and must then exchange her soul in return for ellis to live. knowing that she won’t be around to look after her much longer, she constructs a creature to look after ellis once she is gone.
also the demon haunting ruth is not her friend
there’s some other stuff, but the ideas aren’t fully constructed, and the story changes everytime i tell it haha
sorry if that was a bit long
That actually sounds so cool. I’d love to read it if/when you guys finish it. I love odd and mysterious creatures. I’ve got a story I’m working on myself and I’m in a similar situation. I’ve got character designs, I know what I want the world to be like, I know what I want to happen in it, I just need to actually start writing.
Don’t worry about writing something too long either, I love reading about cool stories like this.

Trying to make up for a severe lack of memes in the analog horror community.
Here’s a relatively comprehensive list of my interests separated into categories based on how well I think I know them:
God itself does not know this like I do:
BATIM
Vita Carnis
TMA
The Darkside Detective
My knowledge is extensive, yet incomplete:
Gemini Home Entertainment
Paper Mario (JUST THE FIRST ONE)
Led Zeppelin (I had a phase in middle school)
BATDS
Kirby (would be higher but I haven’t fully caught up on lore since Star Allies)
The scythe book series
TMAGP
I am no expert, but I am no fool either:

She vita on my carnis til I “GET DOWN! I SAID GET DOWN!” *gunshots, screaming, static*
i really love the nuance and bleeding of lines between the fears in tma and i don't think people talk enough about it. like, the vast and the buried can't exist without eachother, which you might think would make them opposites, but they are so close to eachother, the prime example being the ocean. and the similarities between the spiral, web, and stranger are fun to think about, like, the way they fuck with your reality and perception and everything. then we obviously have the similarities of the eye and the web with information gathering. the vast and the lonely are actually pretty connected because if you think about it, you feel the most lonely in a big open space with no one around. the corruption and the buried, bugs live underground. corruption and web, connectedness. there's so many connections you can draw it's great! and let's not forget about the one that presides over most of the others, the end. it looms over almost every fear, it's so cool!!
It really is so cool. I love the idea of all these other worldly fear powers that are so incredibly different being so alike. I love that they all need each other to exist, and no matter how different they all are.
