note 1: i was going to put an option for no weapon, instead wielding magic but i feel like that option would be too appetising and i do want weapon stats!!!
note 2: i KNOW maces & morningstars are not the same (same with spear & javelin) but there's so many weapons and they are similar enough ok !!!
note 3: tell me what you would name your weapon >:0

I think Citra is Scythe Faradays favorite
I don’t trust this “Thunderhead” thing, anything can be corrupted.
Also isn’t a scythe’s family getting immunity playing favorites or showing bias?
The world is not much different if the power of death is in the hands of people. what makes Scythes different from politicians, dictators, and presidents? They controlled armies and humans died serving those armies so they controlled their death. And Scythes total have control over lives of people, makes them worst in my opinion
Humanity can’t know everything, like what about the universe? The Big Bang? Aliens? What’s inside a black hole?
They say that governments are gone but isn’t Thunderhead a sort of government? It makes laws and keeps people in line, the whole world is literally being ruled by an AI and they don’t even know it.
Why do I like those Scythes who killed the entire plane? Like they seem chaotically funny
Do people still believe in religion? And stuff like that, cuz it wasn’t clear. There was a wedding but if people don’t believe in religion how did the ceremony work?
Are different cultures still thing or-?
Being a Scythe sounds annoying like you can’t wear pretty clothes, you can’t go out ,you can’t do normal stuff that once did and I don’t see why anyone would want to give it up, like can you even eat what you want? They make it seem like an honorable position but comes with less benefits and more trauma
Also how are they past the age of mortality when they can literally be killed? Like at one point they’re going to be chosen, they just don’t die naturally and live longer. With our modern medicine we live longer than people did in the Middle Ages so really it isn’t that much different.
These people are being ruled over by an AI and they don’t even know it, they think this Thunderhead is better or whatever than AIs portrayed in movies but I highly doubt it, I like technology but I wouldn’t trust it with my life
Also what’s the ship name for Citra and Rowan? (I know they end up together but that’s all I know)

Chapter 8 - Chapter 13
Idk how Citra and Rowan aren’t shaking and crying rn, they’re stronger than me fr. If Someone asked me to leave my life to kill people everyday, I’d kill myself. Not only that’s such a morbid and sad way to live a long life and while I do hate my life, I have things I love about it and I wouldn’t leave it behind for that at all. Like I wanna go to parties, eat ice cream, find a boyfriend. Not spend the rest of my life attending funerals I caused. Idk how they don’t think about all this. I’d be crying myself to sleep every night
So if religion is no more how do wedding works? Are there even holidays or festivals? Like Christmas or Diwali or Ramadan?
Are there even different languages?
I still don’t get why exactly Citra and Rowan agreed to being apprentices, I know Citra has her brother but what about Rowan. And Citra’s brother isn’t a strong enough motivation imo. Like they barley mention their family, I think Citra mentioned him once after becoming an apprentice
So let me get the straight they don’t feel as strongly as we do? Their emotions are dulled by those nanites? So they’re basically on drugs or something?
Honestly I can’t imagine feeling dulled emotions, I’m numb half the time but once a month it’s feels good to let it out, to feel something

ONE THEM HAS TO GLEAN EACH OTHER?! I hate scythes
I gotta say the romance is coming out of no where. Did I expect them to be together when I first started reading? Yes but the build up is just isn’t there yk
Why the hell would Faraday kill himself when he has two apprentices he’s training? I bet it was murder and it was probably done by Goddard and his entourage
I still don’t believe he killed himself, even if it was to spare Citra and Rowan. I think he would’ve found another way out or maybe I’m just in denial, I didn’t like him or anything but it just seemed out of character
Omg they’re trying to get rid of one of them because they know these two will defy and try to take down the system. It’s like Peeta and Katniss, trying to break one using the other. (I know I’m being delusional leave me alone)
Why isn’t there a map?! Almost every fantasy book should have one
It’s like this society is frozen in time, humans are alive but it’s like humanity is at its end. That’s what I feel it would be like to live in this time. Time is frozen and you’re just floating through it like a ghost
Ugh why is she yelling at Citra, like she an apprentice, she’s stills learning. Geez
I don’t like Curie, like respect is earned not given, I may not have liked Faraday but at least I respected him
Do they have social media? Like Instagram, twitter, TikTok?

I know I’m being mean to the Scythes and the characters but I can’t help it, it’s the jobs they do. Also I don’t hate the characters I’m just being petty
Is splatting like drugs to these people? Cuz apparently Rowan’s friend isn’t the only one who does it
Finally something on their families. I can’t believe they don’t miss their old life
Citra is so smart omg, love how she figured out how to get into the back brain of the Thunderhead

Are there 3 conclaves a year or 4? I’m assuming they go based if season and since there are 4 season, how are they spaced?
Also how come they use the Chinese calendar but use the months of the Western calendar? Or do they use the Chinese calendar but replaced the names of months with the ones we currently use?? Or are they just naming the years the Chinese way instead of numbering them?
Yk fine I’ll accept it that the Scythedome is necessary for the world, obviously you have to control over populations but it’s hard for me not react when Citra or Rowan or the general population idealizes the Scythes. I know I sound morally superior but like death is not something to be idealized. I may say I’ll kill myself a dozen times a day but difference here is that it’s some else’s lives they’re taking not their own.
I can’t imagine having a job like this, and it’s not because killing is bad blah blah blah (it but that’s not the point I’m trying to make) but it’s about the fact that if I can do it or not. Like no average person should be able to take a life without it scaring them in some way, even in self defense, so it’s shocking to me to see that Citra and Rowan accept the job without much of a fight or thinking deeply about it. Maybe it’s those emotion nanites
