Knowing that trans women of color started the movement in the united states and were literally immediately erased and excluded from what they started is the most deeply jading knowledge.
It is the original sin of the so-called queer community and it damns it from the cradle.
ask for random questions and you shall receive lol obligatory TMA question: which fear would you serve and why. Alternatively, which fear would probably kill you
Spiral, definitely. I’m insane, I’m trans, I’m an art kid, I’m not a who, I’m a what. I check all the boxes baby.
And what would kill me? The corruption. Look, I love bugs for the most part, but that hasn’t always been the case. I still have issues with ants in particular, if there’s even one in my house I will cry. I have ant related trauma that could be easily exploited, not to mention my intense fear of rotten/moldy food.
Yes since you mentioned him, UrbanSPOOK has gotten a lot of understandable backlash for his analog horror content.
I will say I liked his first couple of videos.
But after that everything he’s done since has felt like he was doing it out of spite.
Plus he can’t handle criticism apparently.
Since I mentioned it, Rockwell Forest is similar in premise to his Painter series (at least in terms of the serial killer thing).
Except Rockwell Forest is FAR superior in almost every way.
Yeah, I am not a big fan of urbanSPOOK.
Usually I’d be a lot nicer talking about a series I don’t like, just because I know how much effort goes into making analog horror and I don’t like to discourage people from creating, but I have no respect for him.
I haven’t started watching it yet, but I looked up Rockwell Forest on YouTube and I will say, it does look very interesting. I’m excited to start it!
(tma) Would moths be a symbol of the Eye or the corruption? bc I love a good eyespot and Moth!Jon is a thing
I’m so pissed, I wrote out a whole thing about this and tumblr just deleted it.
Anyway, I think it really depends on the situation. I’d say a moth on its own, not actively corrupting anything falls more under the Eye, whereas a moth infestation in your closet destroying your clothes is 100% corruption. I’d say 9/10 times moths are more Eye than Corruption, not only because the fake eyes match the aesthetic, but because I can also picture a statement about moths where someone with a fear of being watched keeps encountering moths with eyes, or maybe someone finds a moth with real eyes on its wings instead of fake ones.
I’d also like to submit for consideration, moths could be desolation. Moth to a flame and all that. I want Jude Perry or agnes x jack fanart with subtle moth themes. There’s a big missed opportunity for that in the fandom.
