does anyone have the Titanic 1997 polaroid gallery on the dvd/Blu ray version that they could share? I've been searching for behind the scenes photos for about 2 years and remembered there was a polaroid gallery on the special features. Can anyone share them?

i think too many people heard “bluestar naming brightpaw lostface is ableist” and just never reread the scene. bluestar did not name her that bc she is repulsed or disgusted or dislikes brightpaw, she did it because she’s angry it happened to her.

her renaming brightpaw lostface is not a slight against her, its a slight against starclan. it’s assumed she will die, so when she goes to starclan with the name lostface, starclan must suffer a reminder of what they did to bluestar’s clan.

bluestar’s not even proactive about doing it, she is hesitant until she reaches the end of the naming ceremony and then becomes angry. she’s not doing it to be cruel and unkind to brightpaw, she’s doing it so brightpaw, and what happened to her (at the paws of starclan, in bluestars mind) wont be forgotten.

she also, immediately feels guilt for doing this because she believes lostface has become a new target for starclan.

it is still a cruel name, but if you take anyyyy context of bluestars mental state and reread the scene, she’s not doing it because she hates brightpaw or thinks less of her, she’s doing it memorialize her and take a shot at starclan for letting it happen. in her mind, she is doing the right thing by brightpaw.
